One of my DIs "offered" me a bottle of Listerine and told me to drink it. I refused so he punched me in the gut and made another recruit drink it, vomit, then lick it up off the floor "deck" - 1986, different times then.
Don't forget the world you chose to live and fight in has an infinite skill/experience ceiling. It's easy to lose sight of just how far you've come, and how much of a legacy you've built. And no, I don't care if you don't see it as a legacy. You're a main character of the game we call life man. Rock on.
Its been 7 years almost and my knees still hurt from " SCUZ BRUSH TO THE BULHEAD!!!" Scuz brush to the bulkhead aigh Sir... " OK GET BACK!!!" aigh sir..."WE'LL WAIT UNTIL SERIES GUNNY COMES AND TAKES MY RANK YOU UNDERSTAND??? GET YOUR FRIGGIN DAMN SCUZ BRUSH TO THE DAGGON BULKEAD RIGHT DAMN NOW!!!...😂
I've never heard a bootcamp story like that, I'm even more scared now. Im enlisting my senior year and i found this channel and you are so informative, Im a smaller kid so any tips for working out to get ready for it?
Theguy1056 well first of all you need to be willing to give your life for this, cuz you’re gonna feel like you’re dying half the time. Once you’re there, the rest will follow suit. Work out and gain strength in your legs above all. I’m a small guy 5’5 140lbs, and I was able to get through, but I regretted not having stronger legs. I recommend looking at some of my older videos about what to workout, and tips for boot camp!
Theguy1056 - 1) stay humble, 2)go hard as ffkk. Boot camp is easy if you stay focus on taking it day by day. Before you know it, you're a basic Marine. Best of luck, and Godspeed.
Practice running distances of atleast 3 miles. Make sure you can crank out a solid 3 pull ups atleast. Your going to need to work on crunches too... Elbows to knees crunches. Get used to the idea of wrapping up life as you know it. Be prepared for a culture shock because #1 thing most recruits struggle with is homesickness. Be willing to do push ups in hot sun or cold dew but either way you'll be doing them most likely in a fire ant pile. Sand fleas will attack your face everytime your at the position of attention so get used to ignoring itches on your face. Keep motivated kid you'll make it through. The only reason any of us made it through is because we function as a team. Where one falls behind the rest are there to make up for it and pull their brothers through to victory. God bless kid.
Receiving week is a lot of sleeplessness and logistics. You'll get your cif gear, rifle, squadbay etc... You'll have a receiving D.I. with a serious little man complex because he's not a series D.I. and You'll play fuck fuck games all day. But when you get your assigned D.I.'s you'll miss your babysitter receiving D.I. instantly.
Wait a sec I recognized those Drill instructor Names haaa I we were in boot camp together chap well what are the odds.. I was 3071 I think you guys had that one stud recruit currier the guy was a stellar tool. Ssgt Dennis P.K
I went through Marine Corps Boot in 2001. Plt3096 India Co, 3rd Btln. Insane india. Get some! New recruits won't even know about polishing thrashed boots into glass and ready for inspection nor pressing out cammies so stiff and squared away. Good trash! Semper Fi.
5:37 lol perfect timing. It sounded like the DI kissed the recruit
I’m dead 😂😂
Delores Emeagi lol

Intonation. Now that's a vocabulary word. Thanks for using it.
Paris Island 1980. Just like the first part of Full Metal Jacket. Except the Drill Instructors couldn't punch you, publically....

One of my drill instructors made a recruit rack himself because he scratched his nuts while in formation while he was giving instructions.
How was receiving week, I don't hear about that week specifically as much as the others.
