Soundproof Wall Construction Time Lapse

A soundproof wall was built for this application to prevent sound from traveling out of a manufacturing space into the adjacent offices. A system of materials was used to accomplish the goals for this project. The soundproof 'sandwich' for this building is comprised of insulation, a layer of Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV), Resilient Channels, Resilient Isolation Clips (RSIC-1), a layer of drywall, Green Glue Damping Compound, and another layer of drywall. Any seams and gaps were sealed using an acoustical caulk. Doors Seal Kits were installed on the door to the manufacturing room as well as the office.
