Great video, I’ve been trying to do this process by myself for a home music practice room, fair to say there’s a fair amount of sag and air gaps in my effort!
Good job guys. Huge amount of work. We appreciate other companies who aren't afraid to put massive effort into a single project. Did you do any spl reduction testing from neighboring rooms?
Working on my own 15'x19'x9' home theater. I am planning a 3' wide tray ceiling around the room. Would you acoutic block the room and then build the tray over the acoustic block? Way more work to block the tray! Thanks.
Sorry for the late reply, James. It's an AcoustiBlok specific created product, not sure if it has a name that's any fancier than just 'AcoustiBlok Tape'. Hope that helps.
Can show a video of the drywall go over it? As with all the nails in there many screws will might not go in. And when attaching the drywall you will make a whole in the bloc, what to do with that as sound barrier is now compromised?
Would this help block sound coming into my house from outside? There's a super low frequency that vibrates my house... since 2016... it's driving me nuts and I can't use foam panels because of the chemicals. I'm not sure what to use to block outside sound from coming in.
Low frequency sounds are the worst to isolate due to the long wave length - they are the weakness of any sound isolation method. In theory this would help but we can't say how much. We recommend reaching out to Acoustiblok directly for a more straight answer. Good luck!

Glad it was helpful!
This won’t stop bass sound. Only high frequency. So this is only one of the steps to sound proof your room.

probably some mistake discovered and thus no result publishing?
Absolutely fascinating guys. Thanks for posting.
Glad you enjoyed!
What was final result what db reduction was achieved?
That's a lot of effort in there, great work 🙌🙌
May ask, what finish do you have on the dry wall, paint or fabric stretch ?
Believe in the end the theater design company provided fabric wrapped panels as part of the finish.

What was the tape you used on the MLV?

What does a theater like this run?
Thanks for the question! I believe this room, with everything included (electronics, sound controls, interior finishes), was well into the 6-figures.

It would be cheaper for you to move then to try and block the sound, really!
@@toddroy9558 Not in my situation lol but that's kinda funny.
How Many Square feet And Cost Of Acoustiblok Tape And Fasteners Close to $20,000.00 before Sheet Rock
wouldn't it make far more sense to put Safe and Sound in the walls before using MLV? Seems like a complete waste of money with out..
Very cool stuff.
Thank you!
