Got to say it’s DJI. This is the one that made me switch from GoPro and couldn’t be happier. On a side note would you consider making a video on colour grading D log? That would be SAUCY 😂👍🏻
I have them both, for me I think Action 4 is a little better. Where Dji crushes GoPro is on the system itself and the interface. Yes, you have higher resolution on the GoPro. But that's not enough for me. Do I have faith in GoPro, absolutely. They are the ones who have ensured that Dji has become so good. So applause for GoPro.
For me, the Action 4 is a better fit as it’s just easier to use and change settings when needed. I would have liked to seen these in their non-color-graded footage as the lighting was not ideal. Using the audio straight out of the camera provided a good comparison!
@@ItzSKYVlogs I think he means it would've been cool to see the Log footage (not regular pic profiles) from both but without color grading. I'd like to see this too! I noticed in this video that the grade for the DJI had less contrast and saturation which unfairly made the GoPro look better in some shots!
I have say that while watching your review the DJI looked better in every shot. I looked at it on a tv, iPad 12.9, and MacBook 16. Every shot looked better on the DJI. I’m glad to hear that you have never had a heat issue unfortunately I cannot say the same for me in south Florida. Keep up the great work and maybe we will be selected to test the new stuff before it comes out.

Agreed, dji has some of the best accessories on the market, let’s not forget the drones !!! Dji is miles ahead of go pro already even without all the software tweaks of go pro
The go pro 12 ended up working well for me.. agree the Bluetooth headphones don’t sound great but my helmet Bluetooth does .. and has made my motovlogging setup so much easier

DJI Action 4 is the matured/refined version that GoPro should have been since GoPro Hero 8. Better in build quality, audio, battery, color, mount, menu layout/settings, submersion level, low light, etc.
Totally agree that the Osmo Action 4 matches larger cameras. The GoPro (over)-saturates greens and blues as is obvious in this video. In shots where there's no green, blue they look almost the same.
I see the GoPro with a better picture quality, plus the HDR and the 8:7 sensor. DJI is better for low light but i’m not getting an action camera to film at night
Used the DJI Action 2 for vlogging, almost 2 years old now, replaced it with the Action 4 recently(what an upgrade!) DJI is a workhorse for vlogging. With both DJI and Gopro you can make nice footage. Gopro doesn't do it for me as audio is very important, and the mounting option is too slow compared to the DJI magnetic mount system. Next to that DJI run times are much higher than Gopro which I need for a day of vlogging. I hope they push the lens to F1.8 to have a better low light performance with the next model.
Agree that DJI default stabilization is better. I do think the GoPro overall looks better, although I still wish they would turn down the saturation just a tad by default. Disappointed that the DJI is too dark a lot of the time. I think we know it's a GoPro because it's always oversaturated. On the overall camera (build, interface, battery, mount, etc.) DJI take the cake, but ultimately I want the best image quality and think DJI missed an opportunity to kill GoPro.
The colors of the OA4 are more natural, Audio seems to be a little better. Image quality is really hard to say. I have the OA4 and now (because I am curious) I am struggling between GoPro 11 or 12. 😅
The GoPro 12 seems to be a software update to the 11, but I really think the little changes are on point. Now you can shoot in 8:7 and 5.3 k in all modes, right? They were some limitations in the 11? Or doesn’t that matter in any way?
Not sure f you've noticed that since the gopro 9, the footage has wobble in the background. Objects look like light wobble/flicker. Look closely and it is very visible. DJI footage doesn't have it.

I use the DJI for ebike reviews and the ease of mics and the magnetic mount just beats the GoPro, plus the user interface, how fast it is to start and battery life on the DJi is better.
Hey. After the latest Update. With the osmo 4 I have to press rec twice for it to rec wenn its off. And it does not shut down by itself after 3 sec. This is really annoying. Any help ? Thx :)
Definitely a no brainer, same price but one with a much bigger sensor? DJI has always been up high with their game though they are pretty slow in releasing the Pocket 3, kekeke... :p
You can’t say GoPro doesn’t have overheating issues when they actually address the overheating issues in their own literature. They’re clean two times battery life is based on the fact that their camera overheats less than it used to.
Another great video Sky. ... I must admit I've not bought into DJI ecosystem recently because of my bad pocket 2 experience. The video just isn't as sharp as original pocket. Lacked firmware updates to fix meant issues. Then the same happened to my drone mini 2 also. Distant trees looked pixelated. But, finally though, with Action 4, how good is it? I still have the original Action and it too had distant trees pixelated. I am seriously thinking of upgrading to Action 4, but really not sure. Is there any video footage from Action 4, we can download as sample?

I 'm fan of Osmo Action I got the first version and sold for overheather. but I just bought it the Osmo Action 3 Adveture package incredible price less than Go Pro 11. I would like to buy the Osmo Action 4 maybe later or to beginning the next year. Go Pro with me is going to the trash . Go Osmo Action is pro-active and better listen the customer and fix it the problem and made a great product with out the promotion warranty.

Although there is a few questions that I still haven't found concrete answers to by anyone talking about it on RUclips. 1. Speaking of indoors: Is the Action 4 usable as a good studio B-Camera? 2. Does it work with the accessories from the Action 2? And is the image better than the Action 2? I love the form factor of the Action 2 but it's almost unusable because of its overheating issues but still got a few accessories for it that which would save me some moneyssss. Keep it up! :)
Oh and for the image quality. I will say it is a noticeable improvement. The thing I love the most about the action 2 that Dji and gopro can’t do, is the close up perspective pov shots.. like pulling your laptop out of the bag. The focus distance and size of the action 2 is soooooo good for that
LOL Ive been through 3 11s because of the shut downs. Overheating and lockups.... You wear a jacket most of the time. Come to Florida =) Ill bet a plane ticket your gopro fails in the sun at the same rate mine does... Sunday 78 degrews, 65% humidity... Both mine and my buddies shut down at the autocross event =(
even though I have Hero 11, I like the naturalness of the colors in Action4, it looks more professional than the plasticine colors from GoPro... well, I'm irritated by the speed of GoPro turning on compared to DJI, and many little details. it's just a pity that dji doesn't have such cool timelapse options as startrial etc. it's a nice thing to have fun with (which isn't necessary). Great review! Is it me or the dji tends to stretch the center of te image? When you get close to the camera is more noticiable. Your face is thinner in a weird way compared to the gp12. What do you think?

The DJI Action4 is a little too wide. No way to crop the FOV in 4K. That said it will suit many but it does look a bit Action Cam Like from years ago. GoPro has the more realistic true FOV in 5.3k Both are superb cameras in their own way
Hero 12 has the potential to be better for those doing daytime vlogs, due to better exposure, brighter, more colourful image. A dedicated Bluetooth mic will probably sound a lot better, and this is something that deserves to be checked out, since the potential for a good sounding built in wireless mic system is there?! The Action 4 is also good for night-time, but i rarely see anyone doing night time vlogs. The Action 4 has more natural colours but the image is dark, and subject material looks smaller compared to the go pro.
The subject looks small due to its larger fov. You could easily change the fov to standard or linear to get big heat shot😅 meanwhile, GoPro Bluetooth quality sucks… not sure why no influencer talking about it
Dji is way smoother, honestly I trust their battery integrity more. Gopro has what seems to be great quality but it heavily degrades in darker shots where the DJI maintains great detail. I am an avid DJI drone, gimbal and camera user. I tried the Gopro but nah…not for me.
If you can not decide in 50 seconds let me simply say this why is the gopro so BLURRY and dji so crisp, just look at he background green grass to the left part you can see the differnces
Damn like the Go Pro stabe looked bad in this vid. The shakes in the bg while you were walking dude... your skin looked radiant somehow in the go pro though. You looked good! DJI with the better stabe, background had none of the mini jitters but exposure was WEIRD like in some shots it looked BAD and then 3 steps forward it looked good. I think it's the compensation(?) When you move in and out of the shadows. I dunno. Like overall the video was weird.... image quality looked better on the go pro. You looked more glowing in the Hero 12 but also those background jitters are annoying and this is an action cam. Like wtf?! Osmo action 4 wasn't as pretty and in some exposure scenarios you looked gray which is weird but stabe was clean.
by "slightly color graded" you meant saturation cranked up so that your skin looks orange on gopro and yellow on A4? LoL please use calibrated display to edit your vidz!
Since all these footages are log, they have been colour graded? Isnt the result depends on how the footage was edited (colour blownout/fade could be due to how its graded), correct me if im wrong. Several sample videos with standard auto profile should be included in comparison. Like myself, I prefer using footage straight out of camera.

Dont buy DJI action 4 believe me I have bought it on 11 th of this month and camera really sucks, i dont know why all vloggers are lying about the quality of the camera. Even though if you have the Android PhONE then avoid because none of the video will play on your phone
Action 4 is the better camera. This ( Why you can't Overland / Camp in Hawaii (with small children) ruclips.net/video/Nv-QNl0-v3M/видео.html ) entire video was shot on the Action 4. Only used 2 batteries and never overheated.

Action 4. One reason - We can set min/max shutter speed ^^ as you said few videos before. It's needed for low light (1/100-1/8000 shutter).

DJI because of the front touchscreen and DJI mic connection. I bought the GP12 because of Bluetooth mic, and returned it because it’s not useable.

F1.8 would be very bad for a fixed focus lens that is supposed to make everything from 0.3m to infinity in focus.

IMO GP is being held back at 4K. Not their fault DJI went subpar w the sensor and quality. That being said no GPS on GP means thats a hard no. @gopro

I'm glad I chose DJI. These images imo tell you why. Every one of those images, the GoPro looked terrible.

Since all these footages are log, they have been colour graded? Isnt the result depends on how the footage was edited (colour blownout/fade could be due to how its graded), correct me if im wrong.
Several sample videos with standard auto profile should be included in comparison. Like myself, I prefer using footage straight out of camera.
I personally like the dji color better. It looks more natural.

Yea gopro still had a massive crop in linear .
Dji is wider and also doesn’t crop in a lot when shooting in linear / dewars pov

DJI definitely is better with audio and video quality, GoPro needs to go back to the drawing board and maybe some staff changes
DJI always looks dark. I think an EV bump could fix that.

Dont buy DJI action 4 believe me I have bought it on 11 th of this month and camera really sucks, i dont know why all vloggers are lying about the quality of the camera.
Even though if you have the Android PhONE then avoid because none of the video will play on your phone
Action 4 is the better camera. This ( Why you can't Overland / Camp in Hawaii (with small children)

They both suck! lol I am kidding. I am to the point of whichever one your loyal to they both look great.
Stabilization is good on both of them. I think the GoPro hero 12 has a more vivid picture. I like the picture on the gopro 12.
