Charice was one of the reason why people think/know that filipinos are amazing singers. A lot of people hate him for the change but they cannot deny that charice once made Philippines proud and he was also the first asian to enter top 10 of billboard top 200.

Charice' vocal tone, style and phrasing is superior to Morisette's or any other singer I've heard. To me her cover of this song tops Celine's and no other singer I've heard can beat it.

With impressive high belts called the attention of the Glee series and many people, especially in the PH, where the belting is the only aspect of singing the people consider. Just check the type of music covered by Charice: the only one with low notes was "Halo" and was simply ugly.

Great reaction ! My top three female singers in the past few year are , A Korean, Kim SoHyang, and two Filipinos, Charice and Morrisette Amon! ! Charice is now a male and still sings great but as a male now by the name of Jake Zyrius ( he has a very good video of him doing a duet with himself as Charice) Charice idolized Celine Dion and sang with her at least once -- Ghe man playing the piano in the video is Canadian producer, songwriter, David Foster , who wrote the song both were singing ! He also worked with Celine for years and with Whitney( wrote songs for all and Chaka Khan, Earth, Wind and Fire, Chicago, Chuck Berry, Michael Bible’, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton and many more, my favourite Charice song is, To Love You More! , Morriseette- Akin Ka na Lang"! Charice knows very well how high and powerful her voice is. But never she concentrates with belting and belting to show off. Those who concentrate with belting , I believe lose their cool transitions and melody. Charice is incomparable. She gives justification in each word or lyric. I don't adore singers who concentrate with belting and belting. Belting ain't the real measurement of a good singer. She's not always high high and high. It kills my eardrums.

I love both singers but Charice's version of ABM was cleaner. Charice's low tone was solid and rich with great control. Sometimes low notes is just as hard to deliver as the high notes. Morissette showed us a lot of her vocal techniques but she kind oversang it. Also notice that Morissette can't transition from very high to low as smoothly as Charisse that's why she always ends at a high note while Charisse can go from high to low flawlessly adding texture to the song.
Plus, I love how Charisse is always connected to the song and to the audience when she sings. Mori would sometimes go inside her own bubble to concentrate on reaching the high notes.

Both artists, for me, are legends. Voice quality, tone, and technical prowess are up there. If there is one difference, that would be style. Mori performed for the audience, Charice lived in the song. Is one better than the other? Absolutely NOT. I enjoyed both versions - except for the poor fan cam quality.

Mori is a great singer but charice previous performances really touched my heart.
Charice voiice is natural and it's nice heard very natural when she go to her higher notes, while Morositte a bit wild sometimes in getting higher and his husky voice which is also good but a bet wild compared to Charice which cater to a more professional singer and audience.

Morissette version was based on charice version. Imagine an 18 yrs. old singer sings like that, but to be fair morissette also added her own twist and signature style. They are both amazing but comparing any singer to charice is crazy. No one could come close to charice voice especially her tone, there's only two human being that had that kind of voice it's Whitney and Charice. David Foster himself said that Charice voice is incomparable.
You're delusional bro.. Charice is amazing but Morissette has more techniques. Charice's head voice (falsetto) is nowhere near Morissette's. Plus Morissette has a controlled whistle tone and adds some intentional cracks which make the song more emotional and interesting.
Morissette can also adjust her voice to match the type of song like when she sings Reflection, broadway style. Yes, Charice has high range, good vibrato, and well-sustained high notes, but so as Morissette too. And if you talk about tone, both have great tone and tone is subjective.
Morissette has more techniques that she transitions very well, from head voice to low, from low to mixed, from belt to head voice in just a matter of seconds without breathing which is so hard to do.
Therefore, Morissette is a more talented singer.

I remember i was blown away from Charise when i first saw / heared her years ago in Glee, but never really followed her that much, and only read years later that she now is a guy i think.
