Raiden genuinely has one of the saddest back stories ive seen on media. You could really tell how the events after her sister and her friends deaths affected her just by comparing her attitude now, after the inazuma archon quest and how she acted at the beggining.
@@Labi047if you’re talking about zhongli then raiden lost more than that. Like zhongli raiden lost her closest friends and her literal twin sister, that’s like the second part of herself.
In itself, I find the death of the oni sadder, who according to the animation died at the hands of Ei, not because Ei wanted to, but because probably the karma of the gods meant that she was no longer the same and Ei was forced to kill her so that she would not cause possible damage, the tengu and the former miko of the sanctuary could die knowing that they had done what they could to protect Inazuma, but the poor oni died without "being her"...
Well for ei makoto would have been her second half since she is her literal twin. But the having to kill the oni would have shook her too. The way the oni died has to be one of the most cruel ways to die in Genshin too.
Alot of people say “she enslaved her people” she never meant to she wanted to make them happy but didn’t know how to she didn’t see it right away that sort of thing takes time she didn’t want to abandon Scara she wanted to give him freedom and wanted him to have a a life of his own many players thing that Raiden mains have no personality but they do some Raiden mains I’ve met have some of the best personalities I’ve seen ever! She’s a good person with good intentions she just didn’t know how to carry them out correctly
Just because she had good intentions doesn't make her actions any less fucked up. Lets not defend her actions just because she has a sad backstory and a cutesy personality
@@Selkie_17 she was alone and why people judge her action and don't see the background. She is a person like some people who have anxiety and alone it feels very bad and can't control theirselves and i know that loneliness! You cant think or cant control that time!

Her actions cant be justified by her intentions and backstory then why do people love scara so much? He never paid for all the people he killed, all the crimes he did and more. Even so, let us still admit that she did make some mistakes in the past. To name some… 1. She used to be a close-minded person - refuses to listen to anyone’s advice 2. She gave her 100% trust on the Tri-commission - except for the Kamisato clan, the commissioners colluded with the harbingers to plot evil deeds in Inazuma - they then fed the Shogun lies in order for the plot to be successful 3. She lacks interaction and connection with her people - the reason why she doesn’t have any idea on what was really happening to them, or on what’s actually good for them 4. She just let the Shogun puppet handle everything - even tho Ei gives the command of ‘yes or no’ about something, she’s still not the one executing it. And the Shogun’s ways isn’t really Ei’s ways, they have different personalities and ways of doing things (that’s why her people were surprised when the Raiden (Ei) they saw is actually different from the usual Raiden (puppet) they’ve known). - and since the Shogun is only a puppet, it doesn’t really have the capacity to think between and beyond the lines, so it’s only natural to say that her judgement is not always right. So, yes. Ei is a very flawed archon who indirectly/unintentionally did bad decisions (which resulted to bad consequences), out of goodwill. Also, it’s not about magnifying/dismissing the mistakes she had done so far, but rather, it’s about acknowledging those past mistakes as part of who she is right now as a character.
