Pangea Pod Hotel Review

This is our first, personal experience staying at the Pangea Pod Hotel (Whistler, BC, Canada) on July 23, 2021 and a quick video tour. Our pod was located at third floor, section F pod # 56. We chose to stay here after spa and biking in Whistler.
The hotel is clean, futuristic and beautifully designed with murals and artwork. The staff was amazing and friendly.
You can rent an underground parking for $27/night. You can also rent an extra storage.
One or two person can stay in the pod. If you are booking for two people, please make sure you put 2 people when booking as pricing is different.
No pets and no kids are allowed. Age restriction: 18 yrs and above can stay in the hotel.
There is female only section; just make sure you choose this section when booking.
There is no elevator in the hotel.
Inside each pod, it has:
• a double bed,
• towel,
• blanket,
• shelves,
• hangers (for your clothes or wet towels),
• a white noise fan,
• light switch,
• 2 USB and 2 electric outlets
• a safe box (in case if you want to lock it, you need to bring your own lock or lobby sells a lock. You can put your phone here while charging and lock it or put your purse here)
Each guest would have their own wrist band. This wrist band can be used to access the room.
We felt safe staying here. The guests are quiet and respectful.
The hotel offers discount for activities in whistler for example 10% at Scandinave Spa, 10% Gateway Bikes, etc. You can ask the concierge for deals details.
Pros:
• Free internet throughout the hotel.
• Shampoo, body wash and towels are provided. Hair dryer & earplugs can be requested free of charge at the lobby. Laundry service is available.
• So clean, futuristic & beautifully designed. Staff is super friendly.
• Communication with the concierge via text is very convenient (24/7).
• There is enough individual shower & toilets for each section/room.
• The bar has many board games; guests get happy hour drink rate throughout their stay.
• Two sinks outside are convenient. There is a changing room with big mirror.
• I love the little balcony close to our pod overlooking village .
• Hotel location is very convenient at the village close to gondola, grocery store, Rexall, BC liquor store, Starbucks, cafes, restaurants and bike rentals nearby.
• We love the live DJ Friday night.
Cons:
• It was hard to sleep due to warm temperature inside
the pod. We stayed on Saturday, July 23rd and it was warm and stuffy inside the pod. Summer could get very warm inside the pod.
• We could hear neighbourhood noise partying from our pod
till 2 am with loud music.
• The bed may not be comfortable depending on your weight. I am 148 lbs and I was ok but my partner who is 200 lbs felt the bed sank to the floor and couldn't get a good sleep. Our heights are 5’2 and 5’3. If you are light, you may not experience this issue.
