    Nice countertop tutorial! That is a pretty finish, how long have you been working with epoxy, do you do this full time? What other projects have you done with it? I'm interested in trying out this technique, do you have any tips for beginners? Thank you!

    • @kcdcdesigns
      @kcdcdesigns  Год назад +1

      Thank you! I first discoverd epoxy through the Stone Coat videos and immediately had to try it and became hooked about 3 1/2 years ago. Within 3 months I poured my first countertop and went full-time within a year. My tips and/or advice for beginners is to watch a ton of Stone Coat and RK3 videos to build confidence.
      Thank you, again for all you do for the epoxy community!!!

    6:51 - how did you do that vein?

    • @kcdcdesigns
      @kcdcdesigns  Год назад +1

      Chris, those veins were created with spray paints sprayed on a tongue depressor. Sorry the video didn't capture more of that, but they're created and manipulated the same as on the Fantasy Marble sample board tutorial. ruclips.net/video/QPDFir1im4Y/видео.html

    Hi, Keith, what is used to do the wash coat ?

    • @kcdcdesigns
      @kcdcdesigns  9 месяцев назад

      For that project I used about 1oz/sf of Stone Coat epoxy and Black Alumilite Dye. I didn't want a heavy wash coat, just enough to "lube" the surface as you can see in the video, and provide some color as well (which is why I used black dye).

    why does it look like there is massive orange peal surface? it looks kind of bad where the light hits it.

    • @kcdcdesigns
      @kcdcdesigns  25 дней назад

      The gloss topcoat has an unavoidable orange peel, the natural (matte) does not. Customers are always aware of how the finished product will look, and what to expect. We've yet to find a gloss topcoat that does not have an orange peel appearance, but still offering incredible durability.
