- In today’s video I’m spending the final day at home before heading off to Washington D.C. for a work trip for several days. So, it’s time to pack, shop, and get all of my last minute tasks done, like making apple sauce for the first time. HA!

I would help my grandma make applesause. She would put the Red Hots candy in while it was cooking. Adds the cinnamon flavor and turns it pink! 💓

Ok Adam, you have it all wrong. For every apple stem twist, you say a letter of the alphabet "A B C" etc. Then the letter when the stem comes off is the is the first letter of your future spouse's name. It's not necessarily accurate because I did not, in fact, marry David from 3rd grade...
Hahaha!! Poor David is out there somewhere… all alone.

Ok there was also a quietly accepted method of fudging the system and lightly pretending to twist the stem and acting SO SURPRISED when you finally got to, say, Z..truly, an art form!@@LeggLife

When I was younger I still do it to this day I heat up the applesauce and put red hearts into the applesauce and it's so good

Suitcases…I always tie a colorful bandana on the handle of the checked suitcase. Knot it a few times so it doesn’t hang loose! Makes it so east to spot on the luggage turnabout.

I’m just finished book 2 of 3 from the Silo series. Might be up your ally. Silo is a show on Apple TV, but the books are great. They are: Wool, Shift and Dust. Not sure if Sherry read them or heard of them but I’m enjoying the story a lot. They are by Hugh Howey. Love travel vlogs so thanks for sharing!

Aww, I love you guys. My husband of 35 years has had psoriasis since the day I met him. He’s been on many different meds, and now he is on an injection as well which seems to help a lot. Thank God for insurance. Yours sounds a bit more painful and more overall coverage than his has been lately, so I feel for you lady! Hugs to you both!

We use to say the alphabet and when the stem broke off, the letter it landed on was the first letter of your mate or child to come.

At our Costco they sell milk by the single gallon unlike how they do in Alaska. I need a new large suitcase. Mine is ripped but my medium and small one are still good. But that is a good deal.

We made applesauce every fall. We froze it in pint freezer containers. Pull one out on a winter night is amazing!!!!! When my kids was sick with a cold in the winter they ALWAYS asked for applesauce !!!
We definitely need to make a bigger batch next time and have extra to freeze.
Should of bought 2 sets of luggage (one for Adam and one for Sherri). Went and looked on Costco and they are $220.00 here in Wisconsin knocked down to $170.00 and you got it cheaper than us in the 48 continual states.

I understand the glasses thing. I just ordered some new glasses about a month ago. When I put the new glasses on it made everything spin when looking forward but made my vision clearer. It took me a couple of days to get adjusted to them. What was crazy was I made the mistake of wearing them at a bowling tournament. That wasn't fun.

I can feel your pain about new prescription with your glasses. We have made tons of applesauce it tastes so good. You can freeze it! Safe travels Adam!

My stepmom freezes it flat in ziplocs & just stacks them up. Love homemade applesauce!
I used to make it overnight in the crock pot! Always perfect!

I make mine in the Instant Pot. Cored apples, but you can leave the peel on. Hit it with the immersion blender. 👍👍

Yup, totally passed! Not sure if the fact that I'm TSA Precheck had anything to do with that, but there were no issues at all with it.
