Betelgeuse went from being a super fun early villain to one of the saddest villains ever. I never thought I could feel retroactively sad for a character's demise so long after the fact.

I'm glad he finally died and can rest in peace now. It's a dark thing to say but he's better off with that than the hell his life turned into and all the shit he had to live with after killing Fortuna. It's a shame to see how he turned out. He was a genuinely good person before Fortuna's death. I just wish he and Emilia remembered and had a good moment before he died. The poor dude and Emilia both deserved some closure.

He tends to get very similar generic shounen harem protagonist roles. But there’s a reason he gets so many of those main protagonist role offers in the first place. The guy’s genuinely one of the best VAs in the business right now, no mistake.
