Hard Shell Tacos Birria, Spicy Tuna and Chicken Bulgogi with Erwan Heussaff

  • Hard-shell tacos have already found different forms around the world. Here are three versions that you will love.

    Masa Harina (corn flour)
    All purpose flour
    Baking powder
    Water
    Salt
    Oil
    Substitute:
    Whole wheat tortillas
    Spicy Tuna Taco (3:08)
    Dressing:
    2 tbsp Japanese mayo
    1 tsp Sriracha/Chili garlic
    1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
    2 tbsp Soy sauce
    250g Tuna Loin
    1 bunch Scallions
    ½ head Cabbage
    4 tbsp Japanese sesame dressing
    1 Sliced avocados
    Birria Taco (4:36)
    4 Guajilio/poblano/passila dried peppers
    2 red Onions
    6 pcs Garlic
    300g canned whole tomatoes Tomatoes
    2 tsp Mexican oregano
    1 tsp Cumin powder
    1 tsp Ginger powder
    1 tsp Garlic powder
    1 tsp Onion powder
    1 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
    400g Brisket beef
    2 cups Beef stock
    1 cup Cheddar cheese
    ½ head Lettuce
    Chicken Bulgogi Taco (8:07)
    300g Chicken thighs
    Oil
    Sauce
    1 tbsp Brown sugar
    1 tbsp Honey
    2 tbsp Soy sauce
    1 tbsp Mirin
    1 tbsp Grated ginger
    1 tbsp Grated garlic
    Fried rice
    ¾ cup Kimchi
    1 cup Rice
    ½ cup Cheddar cheese
    Scallion Salad
    1 bunch Scallions
    ½ tsp Sesame oil
    1 tsp Gochujaru

    Mexican food is amazing! Thank you for this, now I get to replicate the experience and tailor the filling based on my preferences.
    I've been a long time lurker of the channel, however, recent re-watches have influenced me to be creative (in my books) with the food we eat, so now my partner and me are not only eating less frozen food, we feel much better and healthier!

    yup! hard taco is americanized version of Taco. soft tacos are the real deal- corn tortilla or flour tortilla with Birria, short rib, al pastor, asada, shrimp and fish tacos are my favorite ❤️❤️ with everything!!!! cilantro, onion, lime, spicy salsa🥰🥰

    I think the reason why the corn flour tortilla disintegrated was because masa harina isn't simply just corn flour. It's treated in a calcium hydroxide solution that changes the property of the corn before being ground into harina. Making tortilla out of just corn flour wouldn't work, it won't stay together and even if it did, the texture would be off.

    The corn tortillas need to be cooked before frying. You cook them on a dry Comal or any flat pan really. once they are cooked wait for them to cool and then you can fry them without them falling apart.

    You can make a shawarma burrito with those ingridients
    Pita bread as th wrap, beef as the protein, instead of refried beans use hummus, then the rice, you can put the salad in there too, it's a middle eastern burrito

    Do you sear the beef before or after the onions, tomatoes, and garlic are sauteed? And did you deglaze with chicken stock or just water? And lastly how much apple cider vinegar did you use? Thanks!

    The best Authentic Mexican food for me is at mah Chula’s house lol..She’s Mexican lol..and her mom makes the best Tamales and Pozole!..then you eat your papaya and mango with Tajin!…yes, I’m becoming Mexican but I am introducing our Filipino dishes to her as well..sooo yah she’s becoming Flip too!!! 😎

    The reason why I hate Pancake Hpuse tacos is because it's too basic, everyone including their grandma can make it, same with their other food.
