I'm really about to cry. This song came Out when I just was a Kid, at that age I could not remember the name of the band or the song either. For many years I was triying to put the littles details of the video that kept in My memories: the tapes, the car, the man with the glasses... Anything that would helps me to search the song, until one day I gave up of my search. A really funny coincidence brought me here and in this moment, you can say with no error: I'm the happiest man alive, what many good memories in just one song.

Reminds me of the day I bought it in 99' when I was a senior in high school driving over the Chuska Mountains on the New Mexico/Arizona border on the Navajo Reservation. This song is so underrated! I wish more new music was like this! Hoozho 'i shaa' to all! (Walk in Beauty)

I remember sitting by the radio for hours with a cassette tape, waiting for the radio to replay this song, so I could capture it on tape... Things are too easy now. You lose that appreciation of music.

This song turned me on to the band when a lone disc jockey played it at regular intervals at WBRU. Then Dan's solo album dropped and it was my album of the year. Then I read Slichter's So You Wanna Be a Rock n Roll Star? THEN I found out Trip Shakespeare existed. It was like musical time travel. Absolutely Love these guys.

Got your tape and it changed my mind,
Heard your voice in between the lines,
    Come around for another time,
    But nobody ever goes.
    All alone on the overpass,
Wired and phoned to a heart of glass,
Now I'm falling in love too fast,
With you or the songs you chose,
And all the stars play for me,
Say the promise you long to keep.
I can hear you singing to me in my sleep,
I can hear you singing to me in my sleep.
I've been living in your cassette,
    It's the modern equivalent,
    Singing up to a Capulet,
On a balcony in your mind,
In the city the lion sleeps,
Pray to Sony my soul to keep,
Were you ever so bright and sweet?
Did you ever look so nice?
And all the sounds dream for me, Mmm hmmm.
I can hear you singing to me in my sleep,
I can hear you singing to me in my sleep,
I can hear you singing to me in my sleep,
I can hear you singing to me in my sleep.
And all the sounds dream for me,
Dive me down in a soul so deep.
I can hear you singing to me in my sleep,
I can hear you singing to me in my sleep,
I can hear you, I can hear you,
I can hear you singing to me in my,
I can hear you singing to me in my sleep.

alternative- balcony beach.. i blame not only the uprising of pop commercialization... but more so of steve urkle and that fuckin accordion, ie mass popularity of the sythephone... And from what i can remember, the possibkl. downfall of t-pain... and thus birthd the new age of electro americana pop noise..no?
