- I can't Believe Unarmed Combat is THIS strong in Rise Of The Ronin. Imagine The potential if we get more combat styles in the future DLCs 😮💨
Also, This is what happens when you remove your gear. Though you can pretty much destroy any enemy, I would still recommend adding some gear to help with Ki Recovery and ki damage. Blash flash, Violent gale and many other mechanics become useless when using unarmed combat so pick your stats wisely

I hope they give us at 3 more unarmed styles (Ninjutsu, Taichi/Shaolin Kung Fu and Boxing). That would be a dream.
The worst part is that those 2 allies he has have their own unique fist fighting styles that you can use whenever you play as them but your main ronin can't use those for some reason
been using sword and hand to hand from the beginning. Beating Jigoro grants you a counter move where you dodge then throw (tomoe nage) the ennemy. This move just bullies any powerful attack. Also the weapons art where you slide and jumps then kick is really swift
Being level 100 and using buffs still made a difference though 🤔.
It would be interesting to see a new game play through gearless and no side quest.

i like the fist also but seriously all jokes asides have u tried the bayonet. i assumed this weapon would be crap but boy was i ever so wrong. i've gotten 10 master scores over 9400 with it and besides the katana and the spear it is becoming one of my favorites big time

Considering Jigoro Kano (yes, the little kid you fought lol) who is sort of the master/founder of Judo in REAL LIFE is in the game, I'm surprise there isnt more barehands style. But glad at least Jigoro Kano mentioned about it during one of the quest ending about unarmed combat.

Same cuz on some builds I use it as my secondary since it triggers ki damage pretty fast tbh. And quickly applies status too. Just more martial arts for the hand to hand would spice it up
Fighting the kid that does jujitsu kinda gives me hope that maybe in a DLC they could flesh out more combat styles for hand to hand.

In the case of this video there’s a few misleading factors to why the gear seems useless. Firstly he’s max level. He also has allies with him that specialize in buffing his combat style; unarmed. All allies have their own stats and special perks that not only stack with the protagonist but also buff them as well. So even though he’s wearing nothing he still gains everything the allies have. Base stats included. Also In this case he chose the two best allies in the game for unarmed combat further buffing his combat style. While he thought he was handicapping himself he actually did the complete opposite.
i just beat the game at 50lv, and i struggle with hp, def, and mostly ki for post game new difficulty. How to get ki upgraded

You don't. He's actually the in real life founder of judo I believe. So I'm hoping that's a hint that will get it later through an update or an expansion.

How come you removed all your clothes yet you still have pants on?
U can save outfits and switch between them so u always have that look no matter what armor u have or don't have equipped.
Once u get a piece of armor it unlocks it in the redesign feature in your long house. Pretty cool if u don't like how a piece of armor looks but I want to stats that are on said armor.
@@strifedivine Yeah but he removed all the armour he had on so there was nothing to imitate.
@@davidtsmith33 doesn't matter. When u have the saved armor set applied from your long house no matter what u have equipped or not equipped, u will look like ur wearing the saved armor set. It's merely for aesthetics.

This game is for the A.I not the human the game has hyper armor on martial attacks and normal attacks which allow the A.I to knock you out your martial with a normal attack never having to parry non of your attacks and the idiots got never to nerf us 😂😂😂😂😂😂

This Game is so broken.....the Equipment is so useless....i have tested a lot in my 200 Hours and i can say yes the Stats have no relevant Effects.....thats so stupid.
I noticed a difference on my stats. Higher HP, higher defense, and higher protagonist level makes a difference, especially when you hit level cap and max skills. The video creator did this at level 100 and while unequipping, their still level 100 😂
@@bonaelzee the Stats from the Equipment(have no Relevant Effects).....the Level Stats are Relevant,yeah thats the Differenze.
U must not know what u doin 😂😂 different sets of equipment have very different effects
I think equipment really matters on NG+ and higher difficulty. The first play you go either set bonuses and higher stats and you are fine (Just like Nioh and Wo Long).
