Great video, Jay! I like that Honey Badger and I’m glad to see you like that IronFly (It’s been in my cart). Love that Beluga, think you’d really like the mini 949x.
I just went and bought the Kershaw Tumblr because y'all said it was good and I can't deny it smooth very fidget friendly and was even pretty Sharp feels good in the hand but it's made in China now I got a knife that's made in China sitting next to Benchmade spyderco's I can't believe it
Hello Jay. That Towser looks fantastic. Another great selection there. First bbq of the year today so of course for me that means the Civivi Baklash. Love that knife for cuttin´ up meat. All the best.
It was so nice to see that stonewashed blade on the Ganzo. The action on the QSP Osprey is the same as my Elementum in blue scales with black stonewashed blade...hopefully will get better with time. The new tanto on the Honey Badger looks soo nice...I've never tried to sharpen a tattoo blade so I would probably need to see some instructions on it....and finally the Iron Fly Zesty looks awesome with those micarta scales and superb smooth drop....gonna need to check it out on WMK! Thanks for a great post Jay!
Honey Badger was my first flipper, I very rarely actually use the flipper tab, it’s too easy and too much fun to Spidey flick it. Great little budget knives.
Wow, that's a good question Justin. If nobody else has made a video about it I could do one, but I don't want to make you wait until then. As of today, I like the Towser K slightly more. Here's why: 1. It has a 2 position clip, the Sheepdog does not. 2. The Micarta version of the Towser K has a more comfortable handle. 3. The Sheepdog takes up way more room in pocket. 4. The Towser K gives you the better cutting angle when using it on a flat surface, which means your wrist is in a more natural position. I hope this helps.
$16 for the Ganzo, cheap enough to buy a bunch for handout to friends that always ask to use your knives and not feel like you gave them a gas station knife. The Zesty has got to be made in the same place they make Ganzo FH series knives. They could put FH-something on the side of it and no one would be the wiser. Nice list. Definitely some bargains there. Thanks.
Sorry you can't enjoy the titanium Kizer T1 as a lefty since it's maybe my favorite knife. It's not flashy but like you said it's almost the perfect drop point profile and for me is just about the platonic ideal of what a great EDC template is.
I like the Osprey! Thanks for pointing that one out. I will check it. I finally got the Penguin and it is great but the detent is so light I can shake the blade open easily which is not so great. Maybe I got an outlier? Thanks again for the great list and video. I should be sleeping already but had to watch it 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Thanks Paul! Aw man, sorry to hear about your Penguin. You might be able to fix it by taking it apart and then slightly bending the liner lock bar inward. I know that all sounds like a hassle, especially since it's a brand new knife. Thanks for staying up to watch! I need to get some sleep as well.
Funny u mentioned that the QSP has weak detent and how easy u can fail the deployment. I totally agree, I have purchased four QSP knives and everyone of them except the Penguin has had quality issues like off centered blades, very bad weak detent and rough fit and finish. I have made my last QSP purchase a while ago.
Yeah, the only other QSP that gave me trouble was the Pelican. I love that Penguin too. Have you ever tried the Hawk? That one has been pretty solid for me. If I had 4 bad ones, I would probably feel the same way as you do.
@@TheKnifeBeater hey Jay, yeah have 4 qsp’s the penguin is the best, just the cheap one $35 original and the hawk is nice but a little bit unrefined with rough edges a bit but it’s ok.
Thanks Jay. Towser K is impressive. Kizer seems to have the action secret sauce. I am more confident in the consistency of heat treats for Sandvik steels vs D2. Outpost 76 channel has cut tests to prove a lot of D2 is/was mediocre. Good D2 like on the WE617 out performed plenty of S35vn. It’s just harder to nail the HT. I’ve never had bad Sandvik even from budget companies. But I’ve had soft D2 and m390 (Lionsteel) Thanks again mate.
Excellent point Tony. D2 is everywhere now, so unfortunately, we have to sift through the bad to get to the good. I'm a fan of Sandvik too, I wish Kizer would start using it every once in a while.
Hey Jay! I have a Towser K as well, and love it... its just all around fantastic. I have the blue richlite version, which has a flat handle, but it looks like the red micarta version is contoured? Or am I not seeing that correctly?
You're seeing it correctly. I originally wanted the blue one, but then I decided that the contoured scales were more important than the color. Thanks Danzig!
Thanks so much for the feedback. I do try to balance my content so I don't scare off beginners. Please tell her that she picked a great topic. In fact, I could make my next video all about that. I've got some really tough choices to make here.
I don't always listen to Jay talk about budget knives. But when I do, my neighbors hear him too! Loud and proud. Well done Jay
Lol!
" Stay sharp my friends ".
Great list Jay. Kubey KU322 and Civivi Riffle are my favorite budget knives. The Kizer Sheepdog XL is outstanding too.
Hey thanks Rusty! Yeah, the Sheepdog XL would be fun to have.
I feel like this cat has a bedroom where you open the door and a landslide of knives spills out and buries you lol
Just got the mini beluga using the “notify me” function on WMK. Great EDC knife.
Great list. I need to finally get a Towser in my collection-someday.
Thank you! I think you're gonna love that thing.
Great video. Thanks for sharing your expertise with us. I got bit by the knife bug. Very blessed to be part of the Knaf common.
Great review 👍thanks 😊👏
Great list. Definitely gotta get the mini beluga and the towser k.
Great video, Jay! I like that Honey Badger and I’m glad to see you like that IronFly (It’s been in my cart). Love that Beluga, think you’d really like the mini 949x.
Thanks Ed! You're right, I do need that mini Warrior. I think I'll get the CF version.
Very nice selection jay
I really like the blade shape on that honey badger. And I'm not a tanto guy either, so it was a neat surprise! Thanks, Jay!
Thanks David! I don't love the blade steel, but everything else about it kinda makes up for that.
Nice selection of blades.😊
Question. I've been wanting a non-locking knife. Kansept foosa vs civivi Appalachian drifter? Which do u prefer?
As usual, a great topic and a great selection.
Thank you Paul!
I like the towser and mini beluga, as well as the tanto with a little belly on the honey badger.
Yeah, same here.
Another awesome list my blade brother. Fantastic!
Hey thanks so much!
I like the Harnds Maverick sweet beater and the Ganzo can’t go wrong for that price thanks for sharing Jay
Hey you bet Grim. Thanks!
@@TheKnifeBeater You’re welcome Jay
I wonder what you think about the Petrified Fish 949? If you had to choose between Feldspar burlap micarta or P.F. 949 which would you go for?

Very nice! That sounds like a good time Don. Bbq + meat + Baklash = 😋
Can't wait to see them! Thank you
👍
Another great review video my friend. 👍
I appreciate that, thanks!
Better try that ganzo fh922. Action and detent is crazy on that one.
Thanks Jay for the video!!!
My pleasure Johnny!
Great video again,as always and oh how I wanted to be able to pause it to cut off that piece of cuticle you got there😂😊
Yeah, sorry, I don't know how I missed that. I know my hands are gross, which is why I trim my nails and lotion up my hands before every video.
Jay,you do great,just funning with you 😊

Thanks Andrew! I just kinda found the Zesty on accident and I think it's a fair price for what we get.
Recently had a solid mail call. The Beluga, Towser, and sheepdog (10v).
I agree... they are all solid but the Towser is next level!
Very nice! You did have a good day.
Thanks for sharing!
Hey you bet. Thanks!
Honey Badger was my first flipper, I very rarely actually use the flipper tab, it’s too easy and too much fun to Spidey flick it. Great little budget knives.
Yeah, I know what ya mean.
What do you like better the kizer sheepdog or towser?

I have the same Ironfly Zesty and love the action and is my favorite knife
Yeah, it's such a great knife. I love finding that kinda stuff.

You're so right, those Ganzo's would make nice gifts. They do feel like they cost more than $16.
Oh man, feeling the jealousy on that mini Beluga. And now curious about the Towser K. Great list Jay.
Thank you Carmen! I sure didn't expect to like the Towser K as much as I do.
I got both the large and mini Beluga and ended up giving the large away since it was slightly too big for me. Fully recommend that small version.

QSP makes some great stuff and the Penguin, Ospery, Parrot, and Hawk are all amazing for the money.

@@TheKnifeBeater Thank you Jay for the great suggestion! Have a knife day :)
Cool,jay
You went with the bacon micarta for #1 eh. Love the budget lists.
Lol!!!😆 Dang it, I wish I would've thought of that! I almost spit my coffee out from laughing.
I had a Ch with D2 and black g10, was a good working knife for 30 bucks. The tip snapped when it fell down. Greetings my friend as always
I have to check the Kizer out. Great action on every model.
Yeah, it has such a nice blade shape. Thanks Dogan!
I'm sure you already know this but Honey Badger has G10 scales now. For $20 they are wonderful and very comfortable !
Yeah, I've been thinking about trying those out.
@@TheKnifeBeater you won't be sorry !

I have the blue Towser as well. Love it!
If the red micarta version is anything like the micarta sheepdog in 10v, it's pretty flat. But IDK
You're seeing it correctly. I originally wanted the blue one, but then I decided that the contoured scales were more important than the color. Thanks Danzig!
Honey Badgers are sweet but man they need to upgrade the steel to 14c and get some G-10 for that price.
Yep, I completely agree with you Brandon.
All great offerings… I keep expecting more button lock style flippers from all of those OEM’s.
Oh yeah, I'm sure another new one is right around the corner.
I cannot get your amazon discount code to work. Can you please verify them?
🗡 Knife Church indeed 🙏. Thank you for another great insightful video. I just want to know the 5 budget knives

No moving the clip down would make more of a hot spot in hand. There is more to clips than simply how they sit on your pocket.
Honey badger jacking up prices and why I won’t buy one
