Start with getting comfortable doing pushups on your knuckles on different surfaces
Carpet, tiles, wood, concrete
Then depending on the material you have punch things, id recommend with cut resistant gloves 1st till comfortable enough the do it without gloves.
There might be more but thats what i do occasionally. Then i just use weights and practice my punches in slow motion and regular motion till failure.
