I have a black pagoda, they are beautiful. They are easy to propagate. Do it in the spring though. Just cut and put in the soil, don’t let it dry out while you have new stems trying to propagate. You’ll fill it out in no time 😊
I feel like those are definitely underrated and very cool plants. Some of them I have never even heard of. I actually scored huge at Stranges on 360 this weekend and got a HUGE variegated burle marx and a Philo mottled dragon 🐉. My winter is made❤.
@@GardenOfKayland That should have said Stranges ..sorry! Stranges florist, greenhouse and garden centers. There's 2 in Richmond Virginia. West end is larger..
I have a lupinum and its so so cute. I got a small plant and I'm excited to see it grow as big as yours one day

I purchased my Homalomena Selby from Planterina about 7 years ago. It didn't make it because I would constantly forget to water her and she didn't like that. I have since purchased it two more times and my last video of 2023, she was featured with her little sister the homalomena camouflage. I also have the syngonium red arrow and it grows pretty quickly for me. I purchased it last year summer from a nursery for $15. It is in a 4" pot and is doing pretty good. I don't do well with this genus of plants, and yet I decided in my head, this one was going to be different. I am correct. Last but not least, I have the black pagoda lipstick plant and it is one of my favorites b/c of those leaves. I found mine at a small business here in NYC in brooklyn and I featured it in my video last Spring/Summer. It is happy right now. I don't know what the flowers look like either. I had a different lipstick plant that flowered for me several times. I purchased that about 4-5 years ago and it has since gone to plant heaven 😥
That lupinum is so cute. I had it on my wishlist for over 2 years, never got one, then I kind of lost interest. But after seeing yours, my interest has been renewed!
All your philodendrons are gorgeous! The only plant of these that i owned was the red arrow singonium, but it didn't grow a single leaf in two years, and when i tried to be more agressive with it in terms of lighting and watering, it just died :( And indeed i've never seen it in any stores nor nurseries where i live.
Just found your channel. Loved the video. I have most of the plants you showed...the rugosum, red arrow, selby, Fl bronze and the pagoda which by the way if you're not watching you'll miss the flower. I've now added the lentii to my wish list😆
My red arrow has died and then come back to life at least twice 😭😭 I do love it though. And lipstick plants are so amazing. Resilient, easy, and THE BLOOMS
I love your list. Your Phil choco empress is so pretty!!!! I love the black pagaoda. The blooms are a little creepy to me, but I love for my plant to bloom.
I had a Cercestis Mirabillas for a while, she threw a fit, crisped up and died, I’d like to try again in semi hydro, gorgeous, I paid under 10$ for a 3 leaved one over a year ago, wow 105$!! There are a couple on your list I’ve never heard of! Cool beans thx for sharing!!! I e got a Philo Lynette/Campii I don’t see many others have, bought a big healthy one for 45$ from a small mom and pop shop they bought it from their customer and put it in their shop, it was the only one here I’ve ever seen! I had trouble with my black pagoda too, maybe overwatered her, underwatered? I gave up on it, might try again
Love this video! ! I have the black lipstick pogada plant and it has recently given me yellow blooms. I kinda feel like they're more lime than yellow but awesome nonetheless. My wishlist has definitely grown by 2. The choco empress and florida bronze were already on the list but the rugosum and the lupinum are now added. Thanks for sharing! This was great to watch.
I have the red arrow, and I am not sure why it's so difficult. But she's still alive. Had the homalomena, had...😢 I will try again because I loved it. Black pagoda is full and blooming always.
Great video. I have the black pagoda lipstick plant, which is extremely feniky and dying. I have the red arrow, and it's on a pole growing as mentioned. Both are beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
So now I'm wondering if the Syngonium Erythrophyllum is the same as your Red Arrow. I thought it was and after seeing your Red Arrow I don't think it is. AKA "Llano-Carti Road", on mine even the oldest leaves are red on the backs and so far it isnt finicky. I havent had it long though! Steve's Leaves has these. I am definitely putting the Lupinum on my wish list! And my black Pagoda lives ouside on a covered porch most of the time and I take it inside if the temps will be mid-40's or below. I water with filtered wated because I read they hate tap water. She is doing great and so unique and pretty! Great list, thanks for sharing!
I thought this one would stay red the entire time but some of the leaves lost their red. It’s weird and I really just don’t know about this plant too much. Maybe they ARE supposed to be and I did something wrong 🤷🏽♀️ Def get the lupinum! I highly recommend it
I have the Syngonium Red Arrow, Philodendron Choco Empress and Pagoda Lipstick plant. I believe I got them all from a plant purge on facebook. I have seen the Florida Bronze and Philodendron Lenti on Facebook and plant story. My Homalomena Selby which I got from Facebook is in plant heaven. I believe I have seen the Rugosum. It and the Lupinum are now on my wishlist. I love the Cercestis is gorgeous, but does not fit my budget. I am reconsidering the Lentii and the Florida Bronze. Your video is enlightening. I enjoyed it.

@@GardenOfKayland That should have said Stranges ..sorry! Stranges florist, greenhouse and garden centers. There's 2 in Richmond Virginia. West end is larger..
I have a black pagoda and love ❤️ it. It's a fast grower and is fine in lower light. It's easy peasy. My plant flowers in winter.
It pains me to think about how mine would have probably flowers already if I didn’t kill most of it 😩😩 thanks for watching

$15?! Either I got worked or you lucked up 😂 thanks so much for watching!
@@GardenOfKayland I think I lucked up, though when I purchased it, it only had about 3-5 leaves on it. Now it has tripled.
Your Lupinum is a beauty! You had me at ‘low maintenance’!😊
Doesn’t it look like a fussy one? It did to me at least. Thanks for watching!
That lupinum is so cute. I had it on my wishlist for over 2 years, never got one, then I kind of lost interest. But after seeing yours, my interest has been renewed!
Get one! You won’t regret it. They have all been so easy and rewarding. Let me know how it goes!

They’re trickier than I expected and it really annoyed me. I cut a piece off and put it under a grow light and it died so fast lol so I get it
I have a red arrow. I have it growing up a moss pole. It loves it
A moss pole? Now that’s an idea! Thanks so much

Excellent video 👍🏽.
Thanks for the visit
My red arrow has died and then come back to life at least twice 😭😭 I do love it though. And lipstick plants are so amazing. Resilient, easy, and THE BLOOMS
Sorry about that but somehow I’m a little glad it’s not just me lol my lipstick hasn’t bloomed. It hates me 🫠 perhaps this summer!
I love your list. Your Phil choco empress is so pretty!!!! I love the black pagaoda. The blooms are a little creepy to me, but I love for my plant to bloom.
😂😂the blooms do kinda have a creepy look. I can’t put my finger on why though. Thanks for watching

@@GardenOfKayland Welcome 🥰
I have Syngonium erythrophyllum which I think is a parent of yours and its a much darker leaf and stays red underneath.
I’m learning so much about it. No idea why mine didn’t stay red 🤷🏽♀️ thanks for watching!
I have the red arrow, and I am not sure why it's so difficult. But she's still alive. Had the homalomena, had...😢 I will try again because I loved it. Black pagoda is full and blooming always.
VERY difficult for a syngonium right?! We will have to learn together 😂

So it wasn’t just me! Lol I love the idea of the red arrow on a pole. You think mine is big enough yet? (😂definitely NOT). Thanks for watching!
Great video, I love your energy! That list was so good, these plants should be more popular indeed!!

Yes, they are the same. Red arrow is just another name for Eryhthrophyllum aka Llano Carti Road (which near where it was discovered).

It looks like Facebook has been good to you lol I never find any good ones on there. Thanks for watching!
I really enjoyed your video. What are the names of the nurseries you mentioned?
The main one is “Chimera Tropicals”. I shop there endlessly and they ship too!
I took one look at you…😍 and subscribed immediately. I would double subscribe if that were an option.
The plants are an incidental bonus. Lol
😂 well I’ll take what I can get I supposed lol thanks so much and welcome!
That Red Arrow ❤❤❤
❤️❤️❤️
My miribilis has given me two leaves in the last year and I grow it in 50 to 60 humidity. It is not a plant for anyone that needs quick growth.
Sooo maybe, I can take mine out the cabinet and it’ll be fine 🧐 thanks for that!
