    Prefer petty trolling over players that pick fights and shove people's faces in the mud like Evan Roos or JP in the past
    Most people in the comments watch highlights rather than actual games of him. Was in good form for England this year, had a pretty rough 2020-2023 but was still voted player of the series for the Lions 2021

      Yes good post . I think it's a big fuss over nothing. There has always ber shithousery in rigby , there have been at least one wind up merchant in every team I have ever played for from school, uni and club so I don't understand why some posters and this content is highlighting Itoje as if wums in rugby games are in anyway unusual or uncommon. I always thought a good wum or piss taker were a really important part in a team especially if you could see how it was effecting the other team or cause a reset because both front rows collapsed the scrum because they were laughing so much .In this case Itoje is upsetting some fans who seem to want their rugby to be sterile, they either have never known or forgotten that wums are part of a team and game. It is not against the rules of the game to be a wum, to shout or clap as for what sort of shitjousery is acceptable well that's down to the ref .
      But you are right, seems some posters here are fine with players pushing the tackled players face in the ground or holding him down to either keep him out of play or to milk a penalty but shouting or clapping apparently is bad .😂

      @benhaslam8728 Месяц назад +2

      You're right maro celebrating winning penalties and scrums is the reason for England's recent slump, not Eddie jones sucking the life out of the team, a coaching change 6 months before the world cup, and the transition from old to new players while creating a new identity. Watch more rugby

    • @DM-rp9ik
      @DM-rp9ik Месяц назад

      @benhaslam8728 It's part of it. They wasted energy focusing on the opposition and not themselves. If the other team doesn't have an ego, it's pointless they won't care they put their energy into winning the next moment.

    Itoge is actually one of the best locks in international rugby. Screaming is a bit stupid but some of these so called shit hosiery acts are merely him congratulating his teammates, teasing the opponents for being dicks themselves, or being very competitive and playing the game to the limit of the rules as you would expect an international player. I like him as a player and I am Kiwi.

    I don't really understand why people produce videos like this. Here's a player who's appeared 250+ times for club and country in his career and has had thousands of involvements in matches during this time. And you've condensed it into 10 minutes of him being annoying or giving away penalties. Since when is conceding a minor penalty at the lineout enough to make someone a 'sh1thouse' ?
    Videos like this are all over RUclips (it's not just this poster - although he's made a lot) and they highlight the worst things a player does. This rouses people up to the point where they feel justified in sending someone abuse on social media next time they make a mistake or give away a penalty during a game.
    Last year Owen Farrell took time away from the game to protect his mental health. The response from the rugby media community was to say how horrible this is and that they hope he's OK. It was the same media who regularly lambast him and produce videos highlighting everything he's ever done wrong on the pitch. There's a clear link here that people should be mindful of when creating and commenting on such videos. If people don't, Farrell won't be the last who's forced to do this.

      @@harryshawyer2093 I think shithousery is a good thing in rugby. Every team needs a shithouse and Itoje does it really effectively! I’m sorry you’ve misinterpreted the concept of the video.

      With considered respect, as an English supporter I want Itoje playing at his best every time.
      There has been a time when he has been a shadow of the player we know he can be, but we all know the consequences of penalties, as so many of them are avoidable. He needs to play to the top of his ability within the rules.
      We all know that the whole game is played on the edge, however intelligent players quickly learn how to play the ref. Itoje is intelligent. He just has to apply it for 80 minutes a week.
      The stupidity of the silly personal games that props play at set piece scrums, wastes so much time, and regularly looses matches. To have that added effect of Itoje doing his own version of the rules is a very costly consequence.
      There you go, that explains my frustration from an ex 2nd Row Back Row player. 🤪

    It does concern me as to Itoje’s thought processes at times.
    Everyone knows as to how games are won and lost on penalty count. Pros give enough away, many of which cannot be helped, but so many in ruck and maul conditions can and should be controlled, because refs are just looking for any excuse to have a breather.

    I can see why England and SA are such enemies. Both are very violent teams, both provoking to an extreme, both cheating like mad, both ill-disciplined, and both callous about using career-ending tackles. This is not rugby, this is business, and destructive to the numbers who watch.
    I can see why England are just not good enough. I only ever support them when they play one particular country. Every other time, I support whoever they are playing against.
