What an interesting video. A marriage made in heaven! Marines and rugby players - physical fitness, discipline and excellence. I went to the Commando Training Centre and passed the commando course in 1982. Brought it all back! Hell!
My family have been in the Corps since 1880. All except me! We’ve got a son, a Corporal, currently serving in 42. The initial phase is all about sorting out those not equipped for the Corps - physically fragile; mentally fragile etc. the second phase is the real Corps training. Some recruits do get injured and they are back-trooped when fit to the next available I take. But over 50% don’t make it to the green lid. From my experience, the Paras and the Corps are miles and miles ahead of any other regular service in terms of mental and physical strength. Respect all military. You will want them there when we need them
This was brilliant, thanks Chiefs 😄 👏👏👏Hats off lads, for even playing at this for one day - I'd guess at least 80% of blokes your age couldn't. Now... imagine doing it for real... for 32 weeks! 😧😧😧😧 Crickey... RMCs - every man a god!
Takes me back to day one week one of the Commando course. Four beasting in full CEMO, because the course was over subscribed and they needed the numbers to come down.😂😂
ROYAL Marines. THere are other imitations but only ONE Royal Marines, and the first Marine Corps to be formed. Dutch Marines came a year later in 1665.
I’m not even a Chiefs fan and I’m loving these videos. Would love it if every club did them. Fans would lap it up.
Likewise…so glad the algorithms sent this my way!
Maybe we can convert you to a Chiefs fan after some more videos …
Enjoyed my training at rmctc Lympstone amazing place with great lads & friends for life … 🇬🇧 per mare per terram 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Amazing production value, as always. Completely immersed in that. Top work!
Glad you liked it 🙌
Brings back some good memories as a recruit. Come on the Chiefs!!
Haha it's so weird I actually miss that place. You can smell that gym and the pool!
This is a great watch, well done lads. You did a day, bootnecks do months of high pressure work.
Amazing video! Thanks so much, Chiefs
I don’t support Exeter, or follow any premiership rugby anymore tbh, but this, this is brilliant! Awesome content 👏👏
Maybe we can tempt you back …

good old memories...lol
Come on you marines
Is this why Henry Slade had his shoulder op this week?
We will miss him and hope he will be back soon 🔜
I puked the first time I went in that gym as a nod 😅😅
A crucible.
Where was Manny? Someone was saying his name. Presumably he has a nil deal.
Its all fun and ggiggles until you get to the bottom field. Remember it well. LOL
Brilliant video! Thank you Chiefs 🫡
‘Lympstone marine centre’
😂 do you mean CTC?
ROYAL Marines. THere are other imitations but only ONE Royal Marines, and the first Marine Corps to be formed. Dutch Marines came a year later in 1665.
Surely pro rugby players are 3-4 times fitter than recruits in the royal marines and arguably fitter than trained royal marines
Dream on
Think Slade probably hapi he in rehab😅
Looks like the old fashioned abuse from instructors has gone which we use to get 😅
Did they get away with wearing black trainers?😮
