I do think that creating a new format for The Hundred was unnecessary but I also think that the option to give the same bowler another 5 if they bowl well does add something to the game and that rule enabled a magical finish to this game.

Just as each bowler can't bowl more than 4 overs in T20, no bowler can bowl more than 4 sets of 5 balls in The Hundred. The difference is that bowlers are allowed to bowl 2 sets of 5 in a row. If the IPL implemented a similar rule, Bumrah could indeed bowl the last 2 overs but he could still only bowl 2 others. What's wrong with that?

I don’t think that was a correct recording of the speed for that ball, he probably bowled it at 73mph but mistakenly they wrote 83mph. You would see a 10mph difference visually between different from the other balls if that was the case.
