Just as each bowler can't bowl more than 4 overs in T20, no bowler can bowl more than 4 sets of 5 balls in The Hundred. The difference is that bowlers are allowed to bowl 2 sets of 5 in a row. If the IPL implemented a similar rule, Bumrah could indeed bowl the last 2 overs but he could still only bowl 2 others. What's wrong with that?

That is quite the arm to bowl that sort of pace, near 80mph of a short run basically stepping run up. Any amateur player who has cranked the bowling machine up to near 80mph knows how fast that is, I'd imagine even the pros are struggling with that pace when its coming unconventionally like that.
That is the difference between top class bats and hit and giggle bats. Good bat would have lap swept him to oblivion given the field setting. If some one like AbdV was batting, expect some reverse laps and with Dilshan, a scoop over the keeper.
There are several formats for people to enjoy. The 100 is probably more appealing for newer fans or younger fans. Do you expect them to sit through a 5 day test? If they like the colourful version then they’ll be much more likely to venture into the slower formats to potentially enjoy. But there’s always a wannabe gatekeeper

It's the sort of thing we always used to talk about as a kid: "What if a spinner could bowl a medium fast ball just once in an over?". Is he actually bowling upright seam with these!?

I don’t think that was a correct recording of the speed for that ball, he probably bowled it at 73mph but mistakenly they wrote 83mph. You would see a 10mph difference visually between different from the other balls if that was the case.

Dan Mousley (along with other less extreme quick white ball spinners) and Benny Howell (and other slower ball “seamers”) are meeting in the middle in terms of pace and revolutions on the ball. Definitely a model worth exploring.
