I had always been fascinated by synths, but the 3P is the first synth i actually got to sit down with and play around with for about 45 minutes one rainy sunday in my school auditorium while i was waiting for the others to arrive for school drama group rehearsal. It was fricking awesome and i was in love. After getting a summer job and saving up for a deposit, I managed to convince my mom guarantor an HP contract for a Juno 106. But to this day, the 3P is what id pick over the 106

Owner of a JX-3P with PG-200 here. - In the early days, when I sampled into my AMIGA 500 with TechnoSound Turbo sampling cartridge, I used to compose whole tracks only with patches and sounds (yes, even drums) that I edited on the JX-3P. Built my sample libraries and put it all together in my ProTracker software. - This synth means a world to me, and I would never sell it, even if prices would go through the roof. - That retroactive thing is nice though, I especially like the display that shows the waveform instantly. This visual control was a standard in many FM synths that were software based and integrated into those AMIGA tracker sequencing softwares.

Pulsar 😂. First synth I owned. But I never had the programming box and in the end got a bit frustrated with it and swapped it for a Casio CZ5000 which in hindsight was actually a positive as I discovered synthesis through that thing. Totally different way of making sounds which saw me in good stead a little later down the line

JX3P is super unique. I get some awesome tones out of it I just can't get anywhere else (not even in the Plug Out). That said, the Plug out on the S8 is pretty good and I've come up with great sounds on it that I don't think I could come up with on the JX3P.
I actually sort of prefer editing on the front panel instead of the PG200. I don't like the feel of the knobs on the PG200 at all.

My jx3p was my first synthesizer and though im having a voice issue i still keep it in hopes of getting it repaired…i have a mint pg200 for it as well. In the mean time my jx10 is a substitute.

I just like my JX-3P with PG-200: the structure of the synth is relatively simple but in my opinion that’s the charm and strenght of this synth. With a bit of creativity, I can get very nice and usable patches. The build in chorus can thicken the sound (it’s part of the design of this synth) and on the contrairy of some opinions on the internet, the JX can produce very nice bass patches. On the other hand, often I don’t need al my patches thick and full. I often use the high pass filter to make “thin” but in thensong effective sounds! In all: I still love my JX and will never sell it!

my 1st synth, and still my favourite... i had it kiwi'd years ago, love it... use it on everything
if it ever came to it, i could almost get away with just using the 3p as my only synth.... but it doesnt really do deep bass

Its a nice synth, very underrated... but not good for anything too aggressive.

Do you need the kiwi mod installed for this to work or can you just plug in to your jx3p😊 synthesizer

I owned a JX3p with a PG200 way back in the 90's never had the time to program it so I sold it for £300

you did OK there.. this one was £650 and prices still haven't shot up. If you didn't use it its always better to have something you will
