Roland JX-3P- The Affordable Classic Roland Synth!

This is an overview of the Roland JX-3P featuring its story and the sounds. As it doesn't have the same cache as the Juno series or the mighty Jupiter's. It does share some of their DNA though and importantly its own personality and style, and in my opinion is a great synth especially considering the price!

The step sequencer has 128 steps and is polyphonic.

The sequencer of the 3P is not limited to 16 steps! Besides having 2 dco instead of one with pwm it sounds really close to the juno 6. I don't noticed more noise than my juno either. A interessting part is the basic midi implemention. together with the jupiter-6 it is one of the first roland synths to have midi.

Nice review. I just bought an MKS-30, which is more or less the rack version. Beautiful 80s sound.

Thank you! I do love the sound, the filter might not quite be as good as the Juno’s but the extra oscillator makes it more interesting for the most part.
