I love everything about this!!!! I used to live in Tucson 2007-2011. Those storms though...phew. Used to drive up and watch the storms roll down into the valley and then we'd see all the rainbows popping up everywhere! Only place I ever saw a quadruple rainbow.
Well I just moved to Phoenix like three months ago while i started school their then school was closed I was riding the bus home then suddenly I saw a funnel cloud everybody was screaming inside of the school bus I was like were going to die!!! But we did not we got home safely so phew
+MegaMitchell07 The first song is 'Space Coast" by Topher Mohr and Alex Elena. The mesmerizing song is 'Busy Beat' by Silent Partner.' I recognize all of the wonderful musicians at the end of the video.
awesome and wtf this guy saying "there is no monsoon, just thunderstorms" ... had multiple accounts apparently and goes around everywhere telling people this. he just started on me, and I'm just now seeing the no monsoon comments all over and apparently a year or more before. some people eesh lol.
Kevin Day I know right? Who cares if that dipwad says it's not? The SPC, NSSL, NWS, and the world meteorological association agree that it is indeed a monsoon.
King Obsidian, It was too far away to be scary, but I like them scary. Scary is a microburst. Check out the July 20, 2013 video: ruclips.net/video/yluH_gFQfsg/видео.html&lc=z13cud0hyyyhdbsvq22au1hhxqyxipoxg04
Oh. Tucson had severe storms On July 20, 2013, Las Vegas had severe storms on July 20, 2013. Lightning hit above the Mandalay Bay near the Luxor Resort, It was a very intense night in Las Vegas.
Melting Sky + thermally induced orographic lifting is what produces summer thunderstorms. A monsoon is a specific wind pattern exclusive to the tropic latitudes.
Scott Tapia + You are absolutely right. Three primary factors are responsible for summer storms in the southwestern U.S. #1 - An area of thermal low pressure develops over the lower Colorado river basin in late may / early June. #2 - A strong high pressure ridge sets up over the southern plains states #3 - The seasonal dissipation of the subtropical Jetstream from June -- October allows moisture to flow northward from Mexico into the SW U.S. due to factors #1 & #2. Simple as that.

There is NO monsoon in Arizona, only summer thunderstorms.
The monsoon is what brings the summer storms.

We get the monsoon go look it up
Sorry, but I looked it up a long time ago. The summer thunderstorm season in AZ is not a monsoon.
