    I lived in Tucson back in 1971-1978
    I thought the electric storms were interesting, but not over head when you get a (FLASH/BOOM) instantly 🤯😖

    Loved this video and will absolutely send to my brother who lives in Tucson. This Monsoon will be forever etched in my mind. Went to visit my brother in Tucson; one hour later after arriving at his house...boom...thunder, lighting and buckets of water. Glad to have experienced this rain because California hasn't seen anything like this in years!! Have video from my brothers patio on monsoon rain storm, I wasn't even able to view the distant range, the sky was so gray. Thank-you, your video wins a prize! Down the street from "Three Peaks" Tucson.

      myadvantages Thank you! Wow! You really lucked out. One of if not the best storms rainfall-wise for southwest Tucson all monsoon season. Glad you were able to witness it first hand - so much better than watching it on a video! We usually have a pretty active monsoon season but not this year. There is something about experiencing a good thunderstorm in the desert that you will never forget.

    Is it common to get rain like we've been experiencing lately in Tucson? Monsoon season it's over. Also the lightning has been very scary and loud, it shakes my house and windows.

    I live right in the middle of Tucson and I'll tell you what; storms like this, are spectacular.

      A lot, though I wouldn't say everyday.

    I can't help but wonder if there's a way to capture the power of all that lightening, and store it in a capacitor bank, then send it to a system of storage batteries, then convert it to AC for residential power. It seems like we're always and forever talking about green methods of developing new energy, so I wonder if that's in the realm of possibility.

    Very good job! We've built up Phoenix so much I don't think we get them like we used to. Every season I keep hoping for good ones.

    I love the billowing clouds-and then about 2 minutes in how they come together and close off the sky. Almost spooky.

    Loved this video. Especially the time lapse cloud build up and the slow motion lightning. Could you tell me where the music came from or who it is please

      +falcon 65 I used a JVC GZ-HM860 focused in Auto mode and then set to Manual mode. This model has a tendency to drift in and out occasionally in Auto mode.

    Would have liked this video better if the music had been muted towards the end and allowed natural sounds to take over.

    How humid does it get ?

    • @ShunyamNiketana
      @ShunyamNiketana 3 года назад

      60% before the rain falls. In June the humidity can be as low as 8%, the temp as high as 112 (or higher). During the monsoon, it's no longer a "dry heat."

    Nova & lightning demand a thread, & emphasise importance of trunk& roots; do you have any? Only stigmatic slits ? Perhaps peeping is enough for an intercourse!?

      You obviously haven’t experienced the lightning we get with these storms. There is nothing fake about this lightning. It looks like the videographer may have still framed a few of them to allow us to really see the structure but that’s it. It’s an awesome and sometimes scary thing to witness. I love TUCSON!
