Hello Bob! Your Kayakvideos are very, very nice! I'm looking your films and than I'm dreaming to see that sceeneries in Scotland by myself from my kayak- but that never would happen. So your adventures and trips are my eyes in scotland! Very high quality film, you can forget bbc and german TV... Merry Chrismas from norther Germany! Bye, Thomas
Brillant. I love the low-key narrative and calm voice. I retrace your trips on maps and google for inspiration and trip planning, this year for trips around Skye and the Small Isles (May and October 2024).
Great video, Bob. You do make me miss my ancestral homeland though I've never been there. One of my daughters will be there for Hogmanay this year. She too likes kayaking but wont paddle in the briny stuff because she can't reach the bottom. Yet she is fine at a little lake that is deeper than the briny.
@getwet501 True story, but I try to get down the west coast as much as possible. There's always some shelter somewhere down that way, whereas the north coast is just relentless half the time ;)
@@getwet501 Definitely give me a shout if you fancy it some time. The sea can be unpredictable around there, and particularly on the north coast component of the trip you're very limited for landing options. It's definitely an adventure :)
Fantastic Video, as usual ! We discussed one of your videos in the comments, and I was able to buy a sea kayak that fits on the deck of my sailboat. It's a North Shore RM Aspect (449 cm). I used it all summer 2024 in North Brittany. It's perfect for day trips. I think I can even spend a night in a bivouac, with equipment that's not too heavy.
Thank you.😁 That's a great choice of kayak for your bigger boat. I was fortunate to paddle a bit with Mike Nelson who designed and built the Northshore boats. A lovely, very modest guy. Check out my Mingualy trip video, he was with us on that trip
Excellent video yet again 👏 and sadly yet we can see the geo engineering and its results 😢 shocking how we are exposed to this evil pretty much everyday now
I love the thumbnail using your anti-gravity paddling shoes. An outstanding video to boot!
@vincedavis5326 thank you very much😁 I think the can of Red Bull helped as well🤣

Thank you for taking us with you! What kind of roof rack is this at 01:36?
Thank you. 😄. The roof rack on the van is a Kari-Tek, a great bit of kit, made by kayakers for Kayakers
Fantastic adventure buddy 👍 with as always beautiful views, also some extremely blue seas.
Hope you have a great New Year 😎
@THE-RIVER-RAT thank you, wishing you a great new year as well😁

Thank you😁 .. People's perceptions and fear of the water is interesting, we all have our own little idiosyncrasies 😅
Yet another super adventure - what a year you’ve been having, so many thanks for sharing 👍

Another fantastic video, well done. I've still not made it down to St Brendan's yet, but it's definitely on my 2025 to do list.
@minerwilly thank you. Yea you must head south some time😁 but you have so many great trips on your doorstep!

@minerwilly I must try and get round Cape Warth this year, it's top of my wish list

@minerwilly thank you. I may take you up on that offer😁 I'm aware it's a committing trip that needs suitable weather and tide
