- Up in the northern region of Spain is Basque Country, and we decided to get a small taste of Basque culture in the astounding city of San Sebastian. After eating all the Basque pintxos our little hearts desired and witnessing the most golden coastal views, we came to realize that San Sebastian was simply heaven on earth. We will surely be back in San Sebastian, Spain, in the future, and maybe during the summertime, so we can swim in that stunning blue water! 🇪🇸

Hello! I'm from the Basque Country and I agree with everything said all through this video! I think that it is an unique city. However, I would say that the hole Basque Country has great things to offer so I would definitely recommend visiting all of it!! Some cities like Vitoria are beautiful but something really diferent would be to visit the countryside and the mountains, just because the nature is a huge part in our culture. (try little villages)
Kaixo! Yes she is right! 😁
Love the Basque Country nature !
Hi! What little villages would you recommend? I'm planning a trip to Andalucia in October and am looking to hit Sevilla, Cordoba, and Granada and maybe somewhere else.
San Sebastián is the best of them all!
I’ve been to San Sebastian a few years back and I totally concur with all your impressions on this beautiful Spanish city.
Every time I see my city on RUclips I see it so prettier. Thank you for all you beautiful words about San Sebastian
So happy to hear! Thanks for sharing your city with us!
the nature and views here are gorgeous 😍 spain is such an amazing country and the basque culture is truly unique 🙌🏼 loving the spain videos 😊🇪🇸
It really is! Thanks for following along.

San Sebastián is gorgeous. Loved all the pics and views you showed. Good looked amazing. Don’t know how you two eat all that since your both so slim. You two always look great and love how you give the history of the town you are visiting in the country you are in. So amazing and happy you two do what you do so I can enjoy places I might not ever see. Thank you for what you two do.❤️🥰
Hey Corena Salyers! Glad you enjoyed the video. We certainly love to eat, but we just hope it doesn't catch up with us someday. Grateful to be doing what we're doing and we could thank you enough for sharing your time with us.
Thank you both. You two always look great. Such warm smiles and you never have to worry about eating. You two are young and do so much walking and hiking It’s awesome to see 👍🏻🥰
Lol I just noticed that Siri changed the name in my contents. I was saying Hanna and noticed it changed to San Sebastián lol
I dont know how i ended watching this video, but made me realize how blessed I feel by living here in San Sebastian. Awesome video!!
Yay! So glad you enjoyed it! San Sebastian is a very special place.

I am living also in San Sebastián.The only two things that stop this place to be a paradise are the weather and the rental price. If you wanna enjoy the City, make sure to check the weather first😗
What month has the best weather?❤️ thanks
Planning to visit year end...are a lot of shops, restaurants closed on sundays & mondays?
Hey Chad and Claire 😊
You have portrayed a lovely tour in this video -it was really enjoyable. I'm from Argentina and my mother's family is Basque, so I often visit San Sebastián.
I do agree, the city is literally perfect and you guys are adorable. I feel in love with you both 😍
I like the concept and composition of the video. Your video tell a story which even million words wont be able to express this beautifully.’.....
You should of met this man named Barry, he is a lift operator and hes very chill
Thank you for clarifying that we are a nation without a state. I hope you have enjoyed our city and culture. I hope that one day you will come back once we are an independent country and learn more about our language, dance, dresses, history and sports, as it is really interesting.
Hi, thank you for visiting the city, never saw that coming. You're extremely lucky with the weather bc it's been dreadful for the last couple of days.
I live close to S. Sebastian and I'm glad I was able to see your perspective of this wonderful city, lots of childhood memories came flooding back when you showed nearly the whole city. I miss those days.
So, thank you for visiting the city coming from a Basque-Irish teen. I really appreciate the Basque Country actually getting attention from foreigners.
An amazing video!
I live 15kms from San Sebastián. I'm glad you enjoyed our city.
LIKE and hugs from Basque Country.
That sign on Basque independence is a minute from where we live. Glad you enjoyed our city. To this date, 10 December, it's been raining 20 days straight. Great content, guys! Eskerrik asko!
I was born in San Sebastian, but I missed the city. Nowadays I am living in Granada, I am glad that you enjoy it!! ❤️
I'm glad you liked the city. Come back when you want. You will always be welcome. A big hug from San Sebastián.
Im so happy you liked it!!!!
You were SO lucky with the weather!! This video made me so homesick 😢 I'm from Donosti but live abroad for 3 years... It really is beautiful and perfect.
Beautiful video guys. You've truly shared the city's spirit with your video. Love it. (I'm from San Sebastián)
Awesome! Thank you! Glad you think so!
I am from the basque country as well. Well done the video you did
You both are a joy to watch and your editing skills are superb. I hope that you enjoy every moment with each other while you travel and live in the present. I feel happy watching your positive excitement for life, great food, and travel, and I look forward to visiting your channel in the future as a new subscriber. Cheers to many more adventures!
You produced beautiful vlogs. Your SCAD professors must be so proud of your works and the two of you. Our daughter lived in that region for over 2 years and raved about the food especially. Your video proved it and we have to visit.
I live here and it makes me so happy to see that you appreciate our culture! Next time you can visit the beach in Gros because im Sommer the other beaches are very full!
I've visited San sebastian this year it was amazing city.

You guys are keeping the spirit of adventure alive..hurray!
Why wouldn't they?
Love the way you guys really try to take in as much of the local cuisine and really savor and enjoy it.
After watching your vlog, I fell in love with this city again. I supposed to spend my weekend birthday there last November but i didn't make it. But I will still be going there definitely soon. I live in South of France and Saint Sebastian isn't far from home. 💛
probably our next destination.. in 2024. Barcelona into Basque and then to Normandie France. great job guys!
Wow! Lovely, absolutely lovely! Sometimes the best parts of your vlogs (they are all wonderful) are the still photos at the end. You could make a book of just your still photos! Thank you so much for sharing a bit of your life with us!
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
I’m planning a trip to Basque Country next summer. Thanks for this video!

Dear C & C ! I has been following your adventure and just subscribed to your Channel. You bring a fresh breeze to the viewers through the lens of a young couple with candid comments, raw opinions, nice & poetic images of places blended with the briefly affectionate moments of your togetherness. Stay well and be safe
Wow this place is gorgeous!!! ❤️
You absolutely HAVE to visit Poland. Specifically Wrocław. It’s a city that doesn’t get enough attention. It’s beautiful, lively, and has a ton to do. Plus Poland is super affordable (like $30 Airbnb affordable). Other places around Europe that are must sees: Slovenia, especially lake bled; Kotor in Montenegro; Prague is great but crowded, if you want a little more Czech charm I would visit Cesky Krumlov, Brno, or Karlovy Vary instead; Budapest will be amazing in the winter as you’ll have the bath houses to keep you warm and it will be way less crowded in the off season; Finally, Albania is like the hidden gem of Europe to make sure not to miss it. I haven’t been, but when I was in Kotor, EVERYONE I met told me how I had to go to Albania next.
great filming guys!!!! thanks for the video
"We've been talking about our future for the past two hours" gave me a chuckle :)
Very nice video. San Sebastián is a gorgeous city.
San Sebastián looks amazing! I was able to draw some comparisons to some other cities through your video. The outdoor escalator (Barcelona has some on the Southwest side of Parc Güell) and the cable car (Valparaiso, Chile has several like these). I am not sure where you are headed next in Spain, but I highly recommend Valencia (2022 Design Capital of the world), Cordoba (ton of Roman and Islamic history from the Middle Ages) and the whole Andalucía region👍🏼😀. Where to in 2022: I would like to see more of South America or Caribbean. Safe travels and enjoy yourselves as you come back to the US to recharge and get ready for more😃
Thank you for your kind words! We are SO excited to recharge at home and plan our future adventures. Nice comparisons of San Sebastian! We really loved this city.
I visited San Sebastian in 1992, a beautiful city, and I lucked out weather-wise. The harbor area was stunning
👏🏼 Well done. Your presentations of experiences are very well delivered. The happiness comes across but not giddy - and thank you for choosing pleasant music at a pleasant volume. I, too, am traveling the world so I appreciate the information - especially the accomodations as I am using that ap as well.
Greetings from Borneo, Malaysia. I love watching all your videos starting from van life. Both of you are amazing and adorable. Keep it up, Chad & Claire. Stay safe.
Glad you like them! Thanks for the encouragement!
Was in San Sebastián in October. It was incredible.
Kaixo.
I think you truly captured the beauty of this city.
The food, the water, the culture, the language.
I am from donosti, and I gotta say, you really got lucky with the weather (this winter was specifically bad weather).
Next time you visit the basque country, make sure to visit some cities along the coast or to make some trips into the basque mountains, as there are some magnificent landscapes.
Love your video! Our family is heading to San Sebastian in April to visit our daughter who is living there for the year while she teaches at 2 schools. Thanks!!
Love this video, you guys! So happy I stumbled upon this channel today. I have family origins in the Basque country and this made me so happy to see :)
I Love the Basque Country, San Sebastián and Bilbao. ♥
If you are more than three days in San Sebastian you can also visit other gorgeous basque cities like Getaria, Donibane Lohizune or Biarritz, they're so close!
Lol!!! I was scrolling and this video poped out, im the guay that was playing vulfpeck with the bass hahahha

thank you so much for this video! You talk so beautifully about the city, and I’m not even from Donosti, but I live 30 minutes away from it, and I’m so proud that it made you so happy, because that’s how it makes us feel too. Looking forward to seeing your children enjoying Igueldo’s roller

I flew from England to San Sebastian 10 years ago when I was 18, with my parents during the festival season. Every day since then I have been longing to go back, this video may have just given me an excuse to book tickets...
Thank you guys for making this beautiful video of my wonderful city.
I'm really glad you two like San Sebastián, I'm from there but currently on Erasmus in Italy and the video came as a recomendation. Aaah I'm willing to go back home and this video make me so happy ☺
Such a wonderful city! Glad we could experience it without all the rain it's been having.
We loved this area of basque country! Awesome to see it through your perspective
LOVE my city!! Agur lagunak!
I am from Alaska and hope to move to northern Portugal. Safe to say I will be visiting San Sebastián often. The food scene is so insane.
Im fron San Sebastián and im glad you like It!!
Hi Chad & Claire, I’m glad you like our beautiful city, Donostia-San Sebastian! I love you video too. 👍💙
You passed through Zaragoza, I could have been your guide. SS is beautiful!!
I'm glad you like one of our northern cities. San Sebastian for me is the most beautiful city in the Basque Country, along with Vitoria. To see things, enjoy the views, the beach, San Sebastián is the best, then small towns around the region or the city of Bilbao, it is also a good place to visit with its port, the Guggenheim, and more. I recommend you go to the 2 cities of the Basque country 👍🏻👍🏻🎶
Ongi etorr!, Welcome to the Basque countries Basque country guys. Great video, thank you, eskerrik asko ( pronounced ..Scary Glasgow)
Never made it to Donostia but did visit some beach towns from my base in Bilbo.

You were very lucky with the weather. We had only two unny days during whole November. The rest of the days it rained non stop.
I live in San Sebastian and it's amazing. I really recomend to visit
If you two back to San Sebastian,
PLEASE, come on January
On January, there is a traditional festivity named TAMBORRADA. For me is an amazing event.
Wow you are very talented in your vlog making skills. I was pretty impressed with this vlog (music, content, video, etc...) It makes me want to go to that part of Spain.
Thank you so much! Hope you can visit someday!
As someone who lives in San Sebastian, I recognized the places and restaurants just by your short clips they are okay but I might recommend for if you visit again go to "Casa Vergara" for good pixtos, and "Pólka" for the best croquetas and Masó "Bidea Berri" for single or shared plates. Obviously, this is just my opinion as there are so many amazing places but these ones we keep going back to. A lot of people think you have to go to Mechlin Star restaurants to have the best but these are amazing, casual and inexpensive.
Oh my goodness! Go to Transylvania or Reykjavik Iceland. Maybe Croatia! 😍
Kaixo, soy de San Sebastián. Me ha gustado mucho vuestro video. Eskerrik asko. Thank you
I’m a Michigander who’s gone to Spain many times especially San Sebastian which is so beautiful, way better then Cancun Mexico

My 3rd Grandparents were from there and migrated to Mexico in 1776! This is one place I'd like to visit and see if I can find ancestral roots.
The food looked amazing I wished I was there to enjoy it with you. Have a good weekend. See you next video
I’d love to see you visit Greece! I’m actually half Greek ( living in USA ) but I’ve never been. I can’t wait to be able to travel there. It looks stunning 🥰
Lovely place, terrible toilets
También son impresionantes las olas que se forman en San Sebastián cuando hay temporal en el Cantábrico . Creo que de España se van a ir con varios kilos de más 😀. En esta tierra se come muy bien.

I just discovered you guys through this video! Thank you for portraying my city in such a beautiful way 😍The rain hasn't stopped in what feels like forever but we're so glad that you enjoyed our little wintery sunshine! Can't wait to see you around when you come for the summer!
First, this place is amazing! I've really never even considered visiting Spain, but this video changed my mind. Of course, covid has to cooperate. Second, I'm sad and happy all at once that you will be coming home for a while. PLEASE be extra vigilant while traveling back. Wear two masks! No one really knows what's happening with Omicron yet and we just have to protect ourselves as best we can for the time being! That said, I would love to see y'all in France. I say this selfishly because it is the place in Europe I most want to go. So, I know if y'all go I will see all your beautiful, amazing videos first!!! You should check into volunteering at the chateaux there. There are many, many Brits that have bought very old, run down chateaux all over France. They accept volunteers to do work in exchange for room and board. It would be a very economical way to see the country. Many of them have You Tube channels that I follow. It's a wonderful thing that they are doing for the chateaux and themselves! Prayers for safe travels!
Wow volunteering at a chateaux sounds like an incredible experience! We'll definitely have to add that to the list. We promise we'll be as safe as possible! Happy to hear you enjoyed this Spain video!
Será usted bienvenido
Lived close to a couple years in Guipuzkoa, long time ago. Was heavenly. I loved Donosstia like nothing else. Butt, Each of the cities in Spain has so much of it's own culture and history. And I wouldn't suggest anybody try do several places all at once. Go someplace and stay long enough to make friends there. I taught English in Zarauz and made a nice little living and met lots wonderful people.
This was next level👍🏻👍🏻
Definitely London for Christmas 🌸🌸🌸🌸
