I think I may just have stumbled on a really good set of videos to help me through Whole30!!! I’m on day 3 tomorrow. I don’t have the benefit of seeing these live, but I think they’ll be super helpful. I have the day by day journal as well…but I love watching/listening to RUclips/podcasts while doing dishes or meal prepping:)
I just completed the 30 day detox program and am now in the process of adding things back ...one at a time. In the interim, my Dr. conducted blood tests for food sensitivities. So I already know what my triggers are...which those alone really shocked me. I am still completing this program as I committed to do and it is giving me a whole new look into how my food has been affecting me. I am even adding back intentionally but temporarily the items I tested as being sensitive to them. I bought 2 of your whole 30 cookbooks prior to beginning this program and they have been very helpful other than my dr amended my program to eliminate even more items than whole 30 does. I sure wish I had found this vlog before I started this process. So much has changed since this started. The way I plan meals, the way I shop, the way I prep, etc. This has been a very expensive process not only in money, but in time for EVERYTHING. I have always been a shopper who never buys unless it is on sale. None of these items were on sale....the cost of products with LESS items that cost much more than regular and store brands. It has forced me to make my own everything...condiments especially, because it was way less expensive to make them....but so time consuming. I took my own food with me when we had to travel. Cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, chomps, celery and a few kinds of nuts and seeds I can have became my goto foods. I now need to binge watch the rest if your vlog to help me re-enter a new normal world. I am now diagnosed as needing to eat gluten-free and dairy free and I still need to continue sugar-free to support my gut healing journey and weight-loss goals. This has been hard, very hard, eye opening, life changing...and I am so glad I have done this. I still need help... keep me in your prayers.
Glad I found this. Coming from being high raw whole foods plant based living, I dont agree with not having fruit on its own. I much rather have a bowl of frozen banana nice cream than bananas and almond butter. Now im not opposed to trying it mixed together since it will be better for me than having ice cream which is not a part of the program and highly inflammatory (for my body -sugar and such) And Im not a big peanut person anyways other than a few maim dishes I go to every once in a while. Ill be happy to incorporate more nuts and seeds, coconut milk/cream and healthy fats that aren’t dairy back into my daily diet especially for this plan
The January WHOLE30 was awesome & I learned a lot! During the reintroduction period- it was very difficult with my body reacting. So I'm doing a WHOLE60 now & using the RUclips as reminders & taking notes. Reintroduction will look a little different this time & 60 days to get my brain out of the diet mode.
Good Morning, Holly from TN, Technically this is my second whole 30 but it has been 4 yrs so I am considering it as my first. Thank you this is very informative.
I picked recipes and shopped and made two meats and three veggie sides already done at the start of the week to eliminate excuses and got rid of loads of carbs and sugar containing products to eliminate temptation. I want the full benefits.
This is my first… my husband and I are joining our daughter and her husband on there second Whole 30 journey 😊 PS all the book covers are in reverse?????
Thanks for this Melissa, super helpful and I know it's going to be motivating to listen to these each day. I've done one complete Whole30 a few years ago and I felt sooooo good - slept well, woke up with loads of energy, allergy symptoms disappeared, and weirdly food like apples started to taste really good! I've had a few stop-starts since then and would love to make it through to the end and do re-introduction properly. My question is what are your top easy no-egg breakfasts? Thanks :)
