    I can't believe you aren't monetising your content, you are an absolute legend Sir Mike of Arcadia!
    Thank you so much for sharing your time and knowledge with the community, not just for the present but for future generations, much love, respect and gratitude from London.

      I don’t get enough views or have enough subs to really make anything and I’d also be forced to run ads and/or sponsors and I don’t want to subject people to that. PCBWay wanted to sponsor me but I didn’t respond.

    Damn, I was SO looking forward to a full tube swap with yoke swap with static and dynamic convergence adjustments! Including strips and all. I don't think anyone has done all of that in one go on youtube. Your convergence was too easy. Mine's never that easy. Congrats on getting it done though!

      Yeah. It worked out easy. I’ve been lucky and haven’t needed to dive really deep into the perils of yoke swapping. Almost all of my attempts have gone well with little effort.

    Mike is the real deal. He covered a chassis I sent him in the past. Genuinely nice guy and a great asset to the arcade community!

    I gotta do this to my Night Striker. It has a Kortek 19" monitor that I recapped and rebuilt, and it still looks like ass. I may just need a working K7000 chassis.

    27:20 I couldn't remember the word for that thing you use to flatten dough. It took several minutes for "rolling pin" to come to me. I almost googled "dough flattener" on my phone before my brain decided to work again. 😅

    Can you do a video on the difference between the color cutoff and drive and how to adjust them?

    When Mike thinks it's going to be an easy swap but the video is an hour long:

    You're the man, Mike. Never a doubt you'd figure something out! Question though, doesn't the tube have to be or have a certain dot pitch or something like that for medium res in addition to the proper yoke?

    • @MikesArcadeMonitorRepair
      @MikesArcadeMonitorRepair  10 месяцев назад

      Technically, no. It’s completely non-discernible to your eye. I was going to mention that in the video, but I forgot to.

    Great vid mike its a shame that neck was to skinny on the tv crt so you can only use the tv crt for standard res only ?

    26:57 is the word you're looking for "convergence?"

    Well now i never knew you could put 15k tv tubes into 24k mode.
    Do you think this would work swapping a regular 27 inch 15k tv tube into a WG D9200 tri sync chassis? Will the regular tv tube handle the 24k and 31k modes like the original tube?
    Great video!

    • @MikesArcadeMonitorRepair
      @MikesArcadeMonitorRepair  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yup!
      Nope! The D9200 is tri-res and needs a very specific tube in order to display the resolution(s) correctly. Not to mention there are different revisions that use specific yokes for curved tubes and flat tubes. And the yokes are bonded to the tubes which makes them nearly impossible to remove, even if you wanted to swap it to another digital tube.

      Hi Mike, the sanwa 29e31s sega naomi tube is 31k but works with a wei-ya 3129a chassis in tri sync mode. The weiya is clunky switching modes though. Would you know if the D9200 chassis would work too? Dying to get trisync going in my naomi cab 😂

    Got u5000 that's only showing green. Was going to do a cap kit and new flyback. Do you think it's a lost cause when it's just all green? Was going to do rejuv as well but sounds like it doesn't last.

      Most likely your red and blue transistors on the neck board are bad.

      You were right!! Didn't really know what your were talking about till I looked up one of your past videos on that and did the diode test and boom two were bad..replacing all three and doing full cap kit. Thanks man!!
