Sitcom from 1988-1989 with Alan Young, Glynis Johns, Paul Dooley, Phyllis Newman & Ruta Lee. Guest star was Van Johnson. Set in a retirement community.
Many thanx for uploading this bodacious "blast from the past" ! Though, to be honest, I don't recall this short lived series at all. But it certainly had an extremely talented cast, filled with lots of screen veterans.
Thanks so much for posting this! I always thought that the network (CBS?) should have given it a longer chance to settle in. I has a gentle charm and good natured, clean humor. And besides...Glynis Johns!!!!....Alan Young!!!!....Paul Dooley!!!!, etc, etc. So nice to have found some episodes here. Back in 1989 I taped the one where they performed "Oklahoma". Hilarious. Alan Young on a big plastic horse lip-syncing "Oh, what a beautiful morning"........priceless. The whole episode had real laughs galore. I agree with "hh8575: "More, please".
Both Glynis Johns and Van Johnson both appeared as Villains on the 66 Batman series. Glynis Johns was lady Penelope Peasoup and Van Johnson was The Minstrel.

89....the last good year for tv...😧
I always like my studio audience sitcoms to start with a quotation.
Love it, thanks for including the commercials as well. Nostalgia overload
Even bad crap from the 80s is more watchable then today's hits. I guess they are out of ideas and courage.

It helps to be over 60 to appreciate it.
I loved Phyllis Newman ever since I was a kid

That was beautifully done. Why wasn't it a hit?
One of those 1988 commercial break videos brought me here!
I wish you had the episode where they were putting on a production of Oklahoma! One of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Oh yes!!!
The moment this show died : the pepper jokes
How nice to note that the main regulars are still alive as of early 2016, over 25 years later.

Coming of Age from Barry Kemp the man behind Newhart and Coach
I had never heard of this show. Maybe it was an east coast thing.
I remember the national bastardized version of channel 9 out of NYC (WWOR EMI) airing this as part of their Comedy Wheel.
Michael Bolton singing the McDonald's jingle!
The commetcial was filmed at McDonald's production facility on Green in The City of Industry.
