How do engravings on leather come out with the fiber laser?

they can come out really good, but you need to use dark leather anywhere from the color I showed in the video and just darker from there. It’s not gonna work well on raw leather that hasn’t been tanned or colored.

I get all my leather from The Hide House In Napa California, but you can get some vegtan leather on amazon to get started it has a nice contrast.

I thought we aren’t allow to sell products with images we don’t own? Is there a way around it?

Correct,, that would be copyright infringement,, you can engrave any logo for anyone if they request you make it for them personally (not mass produce) but you cannot advertise that finished product for sale on your store, or list it for sale, unless you have permission from the copyright owner

@@LaserEngraving911 Ahhh so at that point you’re selling the machine time. Makes sense, thank you for replying as I’m in the research phase of starting my own side gig in hopes to bring in some extra money for the family. Your videos are helping make my decision to pursue this endeavor!

Very nice, I am looking forward to my leather order to arrive so I can try my hand ar it. May I ask what spd/pwr you prefer for your patches?
I am planning to make small leather patches for custom dog collars.
Great videos, I've learned so much.

My Speed an power wont mean much to you unless you have a 120 watt Co2 laser, each laser setting are different based on watts :( But if you do have an 120watt here is my setting 400dpi 90 speed 55 power --cutting 6 speed 100% power.

Is this an updated method of gluing instead of the 3m spray? Which is better?

Yes, I recommend this method for long lasting results! This is the way to properly do this, if you have all the equipment shown in this video :) the 3M works, but this method is far superior.
