My mother is a classical pianist, and listening to much of this music brings back such beautiful memories simply timeless. Thank you for posting these amazing artists. Seeing/hearing this brings back such sweet memories for me.

I think so. It IS a joke. A bunch of random people playing at their house, not particularly well. They are good, but it would be ridiculous to say any are better than any famous concert pianist

Where is Argerich, Ashkenazy, Platnev, Borenboim, Zimmerman, Hemelin, Schriff, or Radu Lupu (he was alive when this video was published). This is just false information and it offends me :(
I can name a whole slew of RUclips pianists that are better than most of those on this video. Cateen, Radnich, Sestak, Astanova, and many others. As for the ones you listed, agreed, but I think you forgot Van Cliburn, Gould (Goldbergs), Yuja Wang, Hamasyan (this guy blows me away, look at his live Fidas Tua (you want to talk about touch) and some that people would probably laugh at, like Liberace, but go watch him play some serious ragtime and I wanna tell ya, that guy could play. Get into jazz, I would point out Hiromi, Peterson, Tatum, Hancock, and many others. Oh yeah, and Keith Jarret. This is but scratching the surface. Rick Wakeman is one I really used to enjoy listening to, as well. The solo albums he made several decades back were awesome, and topped charts everywhere, a project everyone tried to talk him out of, because they said nobody would buy it, both were #1 sellers.
@@predrop Chopin then could also be in the ranking then, even liszt told Chopin « I am a acrobat and you are a poet » and it is said that Chopin who never gave a concert was preferred as a pianist to liszt who gave him lots of concerts. But even if Chopin and liszt’s students and relatives said that they were two huge geniuses and that he was the best, as long as we haven’t heard them we can’t place them in a ranking as a pianist
