    Really impressed with the 8*25 I bought from you recently after watching your comparison with the 10*25.
    I know there is a saying among photographers that the best camera is the one you have with you, and I feel this applies here too. For me, the larger monocular would stay home a lot of the time but the 8*25 is so light and compact I have found I keep it in my pocket or belt pouch all the time, even when I'm not planning to do any birdwatching. And at 8*25 the field of view is wide enough that even as a newcomer to quality monoculars I'm not struggling to find what I'm trying to see.
    I'm sure a more serious birdwatcher might have different priorities, but it's perfect for me.

    Just to add: The ED 8x42 also has a standard Tripod / Monopod connector. This might be considered a bonus over the ED 8x25 which has no connector.
