That rock feature at 11:15 is a tough one for sure, don't feel too bad. Next time be sure to ride on an even day so you can experience Enchanted Forest and then the"Gut" of Apex - it's rowdy AF in there.
No kidding, that Rock feature surprised me, you better believe I'm going to go back and clean that thing! Thanks Alex Katz, I got Apex on the list to return on an even day for sure!
New trails always make us better riders! Just keep learning by seeing different obstacles. I do like those gloves. I'd get a pair but I've got a couple other pairs coming in.
Yes! We don't have any switch back in Fruita so it was fun to get a few low risk switchbacks in. I have this odd feeling that we have matching gloves, but you'll have to wait for the next video to find out......... lol. Stoked to see the Downieville vids coming in, thanks BV!
As a beginner, and after having ridden down Magic Mountain yesterday for the first time, I can really appreciate your comments. A lot of tight switchbacks and rocks. I should have chosen Grubstake instead.
Thanks a bunch Bales, I can't thank you enough for the support every week! Looks like they got a good handle on the Durango fire and the forest was reopened.
Thanks Orbie! I'm stoked to see all 35 Downieville vids coming out in the next couple weeks lol You better believe I'll be watching the MTB FlowRider edition!
LOL yeah right! Downieville looked fricken sweet and I wish I could've gone! I'm stoked to your's and everyone else's version of Downieville and live a portion on the RUclips!
hahaha I like controversy! One of the riders we ran into out there actually told us the same thing and like you said the traffic was light. I was good to get some switchback practice! Thanks James!
I can't complain too much with Matt out in that Texas heat lol but we're up to the dry 100s in Grand Junction now! Its great at altitude right now though! Right now on the yeti I'm running the Cane Creek 110, unfortunately not the famous Horns High Chris King headset, but its real smooth. On my second bike, the Evil Insurgent, I don't have anything fancy except for the stock headset on that.
Your way to kind to grubstake. I hate that trail. The only reason I do it is a kill more time so I can get enchanted/apex to myself at the end of the night. 🙄
hahahaha! I like your strategy, chimney gulch to Apex and avoiding the crowds! Pro tip material!. I think my kind words to grubstake come from the fact I just like riding my bike lol. Good low risk switchback practice since we don't have those in GJ/Fruita. As always thanks for tuning in Kris!

Good job man looks fun.

Fun flow / tech on apex. Such an affectionate bunch 13:14
hahaha I don't know why there was so much love at the parking lot, but there was I guess lol. Teenagers these days!
Gotta love that Loam! Missed you this weekend man.
Thanks Orbie! I'm stoked to see all 35 Downieville vids coming out in the next couple weeks lol You better believe I'll be watching the MTB FlowRider edition!
Another banger!! Two fave moments.. 0:42 "Ready to give er' the beans? BAM!! Switchback." and 11:11 My greatest OTB save of a lifetime!!
Solid work "roading" the Mt. Evans paved! Straight impressive bro!
Ah! That's why you didn't make to Downieville. You were doing a bunch of stuff in other parts of Colorado. Very cool looking trail.
LOL yeah right! Downieville looked fricken sweet and I wish I could've gone! I'm stoked to your's and everyone else's version of Downieville and live a portion on the RUclips!
I can't wait to start working on the edit to share the adventures. It's going to be awesome to see everyone's version of their rides.
I can't believe MLC Adventures beat all of you guys to the first release lol I had my money MTBing Adventures to release the first video!
MLC Adventures was motivated! LOL. I am still working on the ride we did the day before. Mills Peak is going to be published tomorrow.
I'm going to say something contreversial, but grubstake down is more fun than enchanted forest. And the great thing is almost noone ever rides it.
hahaha I like controversy! One of the riders we ran into out there actually told us the same thing and like you said the traffic was light. I was good to get some switchback practice! Thanks James!
I wish I had some footage of riding it prior. I guess we'll have to get some when we start making our way back to CO!
Niceee brother
Thanks my canal DH! Bro from Brazil! Hope you guys are having some good riding down there!
I need to ride more with friends ! 😢
The Crashing Dad let’s ride..... lol
Ya'll wanna go to Angel Fire in August? Or Crested Butte in September?
Huntstyle - WANT, and CAN are two different things... I don't know my schedule that far out 😂
Work always gets in the way! I've already requested off, planning on Angel Fire Aug 16-19, and Crested Butte Sept 15-22!
Crested Butte in Sept. sounds like a deal if you ask me!
That waterfall rock section looked gnarly... And "Pro TIP of the day....."
😐Pause😐
Fact: I'm going to have to give that waterfall section another go someday, I wish it wasn't so wet.
I'd give anything for that weather right now. It's crazy hot and humid where I am. What kind of headset are you running?
Same! Texas summer is brutal. But... I'm about to go ride right now!

I definitely need a more adjustable fork out here.
The good part is we all know you have adjustable tires! lol. Those new treads working out good?
Definitely good climbing with faster tires and hook up pretty good👍
nineteenth! i love your video quality
Thanks a bunch Urban Dropper! I try to make the best quality vids I can and upload them in 4K. Usually RUclips only gives me 1080p but we try!
Get that girl's number!!!
Huntstyle Lol, I had no chance!!! She was too fast!
Damn it!
LOL hahaha I'll have to find a lady with more of my riding style, slow and out of shape LOL.
Last!
JF Rides nope!
The Last shall be First, you figured out my game!
Second!
That JF Rides, sneaky bastard lol. I'll give you a hint, you can beat him first for Whole Uncolada part 1 at 4:00 pm next week.
