Incorrect. I must have met more than 2 dozen Afghans in UK (cab drivers, mechanics etc.) and all but one was quite candid in showing hate towards Pakistan. The one Afghan who did not criticise Pakistan initially also started foul mouthing Pakistan after he realised that I am from India.

@Babylon City - Incorrect. Animal sacrifice is mentioned in Vedas and it can be construed that the Vedic people consumed meat. However, Hinduism has undergone several reforms, post Mahabharata (although Bhagvad Gita does not prohibit meat consumption) and then Vaishav movement which led to vegetarianism. Therefore, you will find several shades of Hindus (those who sacrifice animals, those who eat meat and those who are vegetarian).....However, common to all, slaughter of Cow is prohibited since it is considered as a Mother.

I wish to read books written by him, on geopolitics. If he writes one. Cause he has real ground knowledge. Tries to perceive the ground reality. Unlike other media channels. @Badboodar Indian
Well, till now India had no Weapon Systems to give. OFB stuff was so bad. It would have resulted in killing you own soldiers. Now with Private Sector India has Rocket launchers with guided rockets ( 40 -48 KM plus range) that are decent quality and useful in Afghanistan. Soon we may have artillery gun too for export. There is a quality grande and may be a tank . Some night vision in Handheld Thermal Imagers too. Will be effective in Afghanistan, I presume.
We may have given money in the past but we can now give working weapon systems and if Abhijit is correct find some good Taliban. Spend some $500M over next 5 years on some Indian weapons systems and see if we get some tangible influence. If nothing else it will supports nascent Indian Defence Private sector. We seem to loosing it in Afghanistan after spending multiple of what I have suggested here. Some more good money ....

Afghanistan fell to Islam in the 10th century. It was an important stop in the Silk route and hence an important center for trade and knowledge share. You raise a great point on researching the history of “Upganasthan” and then teaching it to the Afghans to remind them of their true identity.

I would love to read a book by AIM on the Taliban issue in Afghanistan. I am a Gen Z individual. I indeed know very little about geopolitics. If I try to know on these issues, I would have to go through the improvised Western ideas or the typical Indian ideas about the crisis in Afghanistan. I would never get to know the real truth or the complexity of the issue.
AIM 's book, on the other hand, would let me know the real issues out there. I am really keen to know. So, I would love a book by him, on this, any many other such things.

Loved Abhijits musings on Shia's doing much better under the Shah than the current regime. They chose to weigh ideology more than the comforts and lives of their people. So forever sanctioned, and pushed much lower in world pecking order than in times of the Shah. Sphere of influence greatly reduced now.
Using the same barometer to gauge Modi regime in India. Are hindus better under Modi than they would be under some other Leader more to the Right than Modi? Say ultra RSS fellow.I think we are much better with Modis soft hindutva. We must push back Islamisation inch by inch. if we do it all of sudden like in Bengal, there is a counter polarisation out of fear and has an overall destabilising effect. Giving Geeta to world leaders as a gift, celebrating world Yoga Day etc are ery nice initiatives. Do the things first, that may just about raise a few eye brows, but nothing more.
Slightly off topic, I have frequently heard Abhijit and some others state than econmic Policies of Modi are more to the Left than what they were under Congress and we dole out more freebies. Look, its a practical experienced campaigners move. If BJP acts like a pro business Govt. and actually cuts some of these Sops, it leave this stand open to Congress and others to fill. Indians love free stuff. They feel entitled to it. And a Sonia Gandhi or a Kejriwal just walk in and distribute wealth like its their own. Thats the only way they gain Votes of the poor hindus in large chunks. Modi took that patform for himself whilst promoting responsible Capitalism from those who can afford it. Like returning free LPG Cylinders etc.

"Mom, I am a genetic scientist. I am working in the US on the evolution of man. Theory of evolution, Charles Darwin, have you heard of him? " Vasu asked.
His Mother sat down next to him and smiled, "I know about Darwin, Vasu. "But Have you heard of Dashavatar? The ten avatars of Vishnu?"
    Vasu replied in no.
"Then let me tell you what you and Mr. Darwin don't know.
    Listen carefully-
The first avatar was the Matsya avatar, it means the fish. That is because life began in the water. Is that not right?" Vasu began to listen with a little more attention.
"Then came the Kurma Avatar, which means the tortoise, because life moved from the water to the land. The amphibian. So the Tortoise denoted the evolution from sea to land.
Third was the Varaha, the wild boar, which meant the wild animals with not much intellect, you call them the Dinosaurs, correct? " Vasu nodded wide eyed.
"The fourth avatar was the Narasimha avatar, half man and half animal, the evolution from wild animals to intelligent beings.
Fifth the Waman avatar, the midget or dwarf, who could grow really tall. Do you know why that is? Cause there were two kinds of humans, Homo Erectus and the Homo Sapiens and Homo Sapiens won that battle." Vasu could see that his Mother was in full flow and he was stupefied.
"The Sixth avatar was Parshuram, the man who wielded the axe, the man who was a cave and forest dweller. Angry, and not social.
The seventh avatar was Ram, the first thinking social being, who laid out the laws of society and the basis of all relationships.
The Eighth avatar was Balarama, a true farmer showed value of agriculture in the life
The Ninth avatar was Krishna, the statesman, the politician, the lover who played the game of society and taught how to live and thrive in the social structure.
And finally, my boy, will come Kalki, the man you are working on. The man who will be genetically supreme."
Vasu looked at his Mother speechless. "This is amazing Mom, how did you.. This makes sense!"
"Yes it does Vasu! We Indians knew some amazing things just didnt know how to pass it on scientifically. So made them into mythological stories. Mythology makes sense. Its just the way you look at it - Religious or Scientific. Your call.
( A Must Read n pass it on for the people who keep harping about western world)
