Thank you for the lesson. For me, IMO, BB was/is one of the best blues (especially medolic, slow blues) players that ever lived. Many try to copy him but just a few get close. When you hear him playing all you need to hear is about 3 notes and you can say - that is BB. I am 70, jazz drummer, trying to learn the blues. It is not in my blood or culture (I am from Brazil), but I would love to play about 1% of what plays. I am working on it. Thanks again. Cheers from Brazil. Stay safe everybody!

This is fantastic Jon! These lines are taken from BB’s instrumental “Darling You Know I Love You”. Later on in that video BB performs the entire tune with his band and it is beautiful! Thanks for this great lesson Jon! Oh, it would be great if you could show the chords to this in another video, just sayin’ ;)
Jon, can you please tell me the rest of that progression? You mention the Ab7 , Dbmajor7, C#min then where down to Bm??... then back to the tonic? thanks....love these types of lessons
