    I Personally never order mix drinks at Mexican resorts due to the huge counterfeit alcohol that used to take place. Beer only please. great video Qroo!

      Unless you're going for altruistic reasons, Cuba just isn't able to provide a competitive vacation, we would avoid it. We love the Cuban people but there is really no good vacation/holiday there at this time. Lovely place, sweet kind people but, no way can they compete with an all-inclusive in Mexico for a relaxing fun vacation. Very sorry to say.

    When comparing things, value for money is always near the top of my judging criteria . On that basis it seems Azul would have been the winner . Service is very important as well . Great comparison .

    Great video! They both sound wonderful for different reasons. Azul almost sounds like a beached cruise ship with the battle for the lounge chairs! I am not sure if you mentioned noise levels and service? Maybe you did. Also, I am a single retired person, so am not sure if I would get bored being stuck at one of these all inclusive resorts. It would be an interesting to take things one step further and compare between the all inclusive resorts versus renting a hotel in Cancun and going to public restaurants/bars and public beaches?

    I've looked at other yt channels by Americans living in Mexico but yours is the most informative and interesting. Some of Them are more like tourism commercials with little or no practical advice.

      Americans living in México? Mexicans are also Americans, actually every person from every country in this continent is an American. While we’re at it, the American continent is divided by 3 parts, North America, Central America and South America. Last but not least, North America is made up by Canada, the U.S. and México.
      The specific and most common way of calling someone from The United States of America is a U.S. Citizen.

I dont normally do all inclusive and it's been 25 yrs since I have. But I do think it is lovely to just chill and that wine tasting sure sounded cool! And Valladolid is very dear to my heart as well.

    I have avoided all-inclusive resorts when in Mexico. It's not just about value for me. It's linguistic. I come to Mexico to keep up my Spanish. To have complicated conversations. Yes, you can have some very rudimentary conversations in Spanish with service staff. But I've already mastered 'command' based Spanish. I may, however, take my elderly in-laws from abroad to an all-inclusive resort. They have mobility issues and would probably like to be catered to.

    • @qroo
      @qroo  Год назад +7

      The all-inclusives attract a lot of tourists from within Mexico too. I have met a lot of great people that I still stay in touch with from Mexico City and Momterrey..I met most of them.because they heard me speak Spanish to a bartender and they were intrigued. That is followed by hours of Spanish conversation. Certain all inclusives attract more Mexican nationals than others.

      @shellp1270 Год назад

      Yes the prices are incredible compared to what they were before Covid. We are not even considering a vacation there in an all-inclusive any time in the near future. It seems they are taking advantage of the situation to squeeze all the money people saved not going by charging so much extra now. Some are more than double the price, it is a shame.

    Great video 👍. Aways feel like I over pay at all the all inclusive hotels in Cancun, playa del Carmen, Los Cabos, ... As I don't drink pop, juice or alcohol. For food I don't eat sugar or processed food,... However for those that like to drink and eat desserts, all inclusive is the way to go. Have you rented any homes for the night or weekend? Be great to do a review on nightly home rentals

    I’d like to hear about the water at these resorts. I have traveled to Mexico many times and have experienced whole properties that have the water filtered and some resorts have smelly water right from the tap. Water can make all the difference. Not being able to take a shower or use the spa tub really put a dent in our magical vacation.

    I also avoid the all inclusives like the plague, primarily because I like to experience the area and local food not just one hotel; plus the cost is just crazy when you don't drink much. I usually stay in hostels and the thought of spending $4k for a room on a short vacation makes me break out in sweat! 😀 LoL.
