But her cousins and uncles have told her not to come because of the insecurity. She still wants to go and so do I (never been). And it’s not a place that non-Mexicans typically go to visit, much less live.

I was in Centro Playa at one my Beachfront condos 2 weeks ago and walked it to the all-inclusives in Playacar, and unfortunately none appeared to be occupied more than 15%-25% in this Low Season. However, Beaches WERE mostly free of sargassum and looked great, especially between Aldea Thai Condominiums next to Mamitas Beach Club & Casa Del Mar Condominiums next to Martina Beach Club. 😊

Those areas may have temporary curfews etc, but there is no nationwide martial law in place that I have heard of.

    I have been somewhat curious about this one... I think having it be Adult Only would certainly keep the noise down at the poolside? Unless you get adults that like to do pool tricks and scream a lot? haha... Nice video for sure Lovely to see Linda, you are a lucky man!

      It is a lot quieter than the family resorts we have been to. After we left this one, we went to the Beach Palace in Cancun and that one was pretty loud. Lots of kids.

    Is there a ‘Resident’ price vs a tourist price ???

    • @qroo
      @qroo  Год назад +1

      If capacity is low, you can sometimes get a local{s price, but we have done best by joining "Mi Barcelo" and booking through that.

    I don't know about this hotel in particular, but one thing I love about hotels in Latin America, and most outside the US, is the included full breakfast. This looks like a big corporate resort so it may not be true at this resort. But the capitalism-on-steroids mentality in the US prevents including anything that they can't charge extra for (parking is another example), so you rarely find an included breakfast in the US. Another reason why there is so much value traveling to Latin America.

    Do you miss your condo?

    • @qroo
      @qroo  Год назад +1

      Good question. We miss having a base to store our stuff in Mexico. Currently, we have it scattered around some of our friends' condos in the area. But, we don't miss the condo itself. Although we loved being there, we are really enjoying the freedom of being digital nomads and renting for awhile here and there. Eventually, we hope to come across a great house in Mexico at an even better price.

      Yes, there are other Barcelo resorts right next to it in a line and they are not adults only. Plenty of options in the area. We also recently went to the Beach Palace in Cancun and that allowed families.
