Looks like it did a pretty good job . Have to tried blowing the leaves on to the lawn with a good blower and then use the Cyclone Rake to pick them up .
Thanks for watching. Yes I have tried using my backpack blower to push them back up onto the lawn and then use my mower and CR to suck them up. It was an exercise in frustration. I was almost done when the wind kicked up and blew them back into the ditch The ONLY way this would work would be on dry, never wet leaves and when there is absolutely no wind. When in fall time and the leaves are falling that would be very rare occurrence. Most of the time the leaves are wet like they are in the video. Vacuuming them up the way I do as per the video works the best.
Any how I'm glad that you can suck them up like that . Didn't know that you could do that with a CR .Many people will blow the leaves in the ditch and leave them there . Glad to see that you are a responsible person who doesn't do that . Next time you use that CR please show us how you dump the leaves . It maybe too late for this year . Your last video sucking up the leaves you didn't show the dump and people were saying ... hey what no dump . LOL .
I bought the vacuum hose offered as a Cyclone Rake accessory. It is durable but heavy, stiff and extremely awkward to maneuver. Hopefully yours is lighter and easier to manage. I would gladly trade some durability for better maneuverability. After cleaning my ditch I had lots of mud in the hoses, impeller and bag. Hs anyone seen any tips (dos/don'ts) for flushing out the vacuum impeller?
Thanks for watching and your query. My hose is an 8" diameter aftermarket brand that is also heavy duty. It is no different that yours as I feel like I'm wresting an anaconda when I use it. I try to suck up the leaves before they get wet but that doesn't always happen as Mother Nature usually has other plans. My equipment gets full of mud too and I just use the hose to spray it down/off. To clean the hose out I lay it out in a U-shape and prop and tie both ends up and fill it with water. I let it sit for awhile and then try to give it a shake to loosen the mud/dirt.I drop one end of the hose and let the water out. May take a couple of applications to get most of the mud out.
Thanks for watching. I can't remember where I got the leave vacuum hose from (maybe Universal Hose and Fittings??) but if you search the web for leaf vacuum hose a few websites will show up that sells them. Mine is 25' long. The yellow tube is just a plastic bollard cover/sleeve that I got form Global Industrial and I cut the cap off it and angled the other end a bit. Hope the this helps..
Thanks for watching! You may be right but I guess that would be a trade off in that you would be moving the CR a lot more to cover the same area. The hose came in a 25’ length and I decided not to cut it and use it as is.

Wondering if you'd speak with me regarding a x748SE I'm considering buying. Basically wanting to determine a fair purchase price on this private sale. Willing to chat on the side? Thank yu.
Thanks for watching and your query. The price of a X748SE can greatly vary depending on the area that your live. Higher prices in the east than the west it seems. I live in Canada and prices here totally different than they are in the US. Your best bet to get an accurate estimate for the tractor in question is to pose the question on tractor forums like MyTractorForum and GreenTractor. Just sign up and ask the question in the proper forum. Whatever you do you, I believe you will not be disappointed with performance of the X700 series.
For such a large area, it's much quicker to mow the ditch line with a self propelled mower -- substantially less effort. Leaf vac is most effective only around shrubs.
Thanks for watching. Using a self propelled mower will not work for me in the ditch as the leaves are usually wet and matted down. The leaf vacuum sucks them up regardless if they are wet or dry.

I agree think it would be lot easier to blow the leaves out of ditch into yard then use the mower

Did great especially for wet leaves in that ditch
Thanks for watching! I must say that I'm quite impressed with my homemade suction hose and as you said it sucks up the wet leaves with out an issue.
Does a good job. Wish I had one for my pine needles.
Thanks for watching Levi! I don't envy you with your pine needles. They are definitely a pain to get rid off.

great video! My wife wants me to get one of those...Thanks for sharing...
Thanks and thanks for watching. The Cyclone Rake is definitely a time saver if you have tons of leaves to clean up.
Could you tell were you got the hose and the yellow tube look good and heavy duty. Thanks

Wouldn’t a shorter hose give you greater suction? Less work

nice vid :) i need 1 of those Cyclone Rakes :)
Thanks for watching and your continued support. I think you were one of my first subscribers! Yes the Cyclone Rake can be very handy.
Use a blower and blow them out then suck them up with the mower.

Thanks for your comment and for watching!
What did you use for a hose?
Thanks for watching and your query. It is a leaf vacuum hose and I got it from a company called Universal Hose and Fittings.
Thank you - enjoyed your video.
