Graveland is so fucking good. Thousand Swords is one of my favourite black metal albums ever. Definitely top 20.

Amazing ranking. Pains me to see my favourite album "Dawn of Iron Blades" almost in last place though. Haha. When I first heard the song "Iron in the Fog" almost 20 years ago I fell in love with Graveland.

The split with the Nocturnal Mortum is great, but not because of Graveland's contributions. Its the Nockers who smash it out of the park.

Highly recommend Lucifugum's debut album Нахристихрящях from 1999. Absolute masterpiece of Ukrainian symphonic/folk black metal. It's what Nechrist should have been.

Graveland are one of the best Polish black metal bands. Their early albums are classics in pagan black metal but they've got a consistently great discography with no bad albums. Here's my ranking:
S - Carpathian Wolves, Thousand Swords
A+ - The Celtic Winter, Following the Voice of Blood, Immortal Pride
A - Creed of Iron / Prawo Stali, Dawn of Iron Blades, Spears of Heaven, Thunderbolts of the Gods, Hour of Ragnarok
B - Memory and Destiny, The Fire of Awakening, Fire Chariot of Destruction
C - Will Stronger Than Death

Polish black was always hit or miss. They do a better job with death metal. Vader is one of the most consistent metal bands.

been awhile since i dug into Graveland's discography, but if my memory serves correctly (no pun intended) Memory and Destiny was my favourite album as well

Amazing band. So many great albums and yet they are going strong 💪 My favorites are Thousand Swords, Following the Voice of Blood, Dawn of Iron Blades and Hour of Ragnarok

Great band, really consistent band. When getting into this band I knew I would love it since a lot of it reminded me of Blood Fire Death-Hammerheart era Bathory. Thousand Swords, Following the Voice of Blood, Fire Chariot of destruction are my favorites.

what's your opinion on Absurd? They also play pagan black metal but in their own "thuringian" style

Did you miss 1050 years of Pagan Cult? That’s the one I don’t own, so wanted to hear where that one ranks.

That’s like a compilation style album, re-recorded tracks but it’s quite good

Hello, i was wondering if you could make a video for nocturnal depression's albums, it seems like everyone only knows them for only 2 of their songs (her ghost haunts these walls and nostalgia) which is a damn shame since they made so many great tracks and released many good albums.
