Ghost Opera has a lot of deep meaning to me it’s got to be my favorite. I was introduced to the band through abandoned on Black Halo. I absolutely adore Roy Kahn

The Black Halo is one of my favorite metal albums of all time by any artist. Phenomenal album

Except for the fact that you prefer the shadow theory over silverthorn in Tommy's era (haven is indeed the best with him) and that I enjoy karma a bit more than the black halo, I cannot agree more with you. Love you to death is my favourite song by Kamelot, it was actually the song that introduced me to metal, so I'm forever grateful for that. It's just so emotional and it gets me every time.

Yeah fantastic song that people overlook

As much as I like the Shadow Theory I’ve gotta be honest, I’m not really a big fan of the song Static. It’s the weakest track on the album for me and feels like filler. It also just doesn’t really feel/sound like Kamelot. Hoping we don’t hear a song in that similar vein on their next upcoming album.

Nice video, loved your enthusiasm throughout! Think I'm with you on the ranking, perhaps going between Karma and Epica for the #1 on a day-by-day basis haha. My all time favourite Kamelot song is "Temples of Gold" - from my first listen I knew this one would be special. I find it really soothing and love it a lot!

Great list, kind of similar to mine. However, in tommys 3 albums. Unpopular opinion, I truly think haven is the lesser one. Yes i know it has liar liar which is their most popular song among other great ones like fallen star. Still love it though. Shadow theory second and I think silverthorn still remains the best one with tommy. Loved the shadow theory but silverthorn is still a lil bit better. I totally agree with you on choosing epica as the best

I used to like Haven more, but the more I heard both, the more Silverthorn began to grow on me. I do think Silverthorn is better now, as well.

I gotta agree with you on this one, Haven is the strongest entry in the Karevik era Kamelot discography. Holy shit indeed, the balance of theatrics and majesty plus the progginess and Power metal is just perfect! Like the songwriting and mixing is absolutely stunning, no words cannot describe how much of a killer album Haven is. I cannot speak for the first two albums but I listened to Kamelot's Epica and Black Halo until Ghost Opera. Sacrimony may be a weak album in Karevik's tenure but it surely has some good songs, it is not amazing album by any means IMO but it is still worth checking out.
The Black Halo...... Wow, you want to talk about Kamelot? You cannot go wrong with starting with this epic Rock Opera concept album especially with the opening track with Shagrath! This is the album telling you, you want a great album?! Well, WE WILL FUCKING BRING IT! HERE WE GO.

Love You to Death is my favorite song of theirs too. And I definitely agree with you on Mark's vocals. I can listen to his vocals but not for very long. They get quite irritating. I'd call Mark's vocals an acquired taste for sure.

I am roughly in line with your list with some variations(I might write one here later), but I just wanted to say that I think the latter half of The Black Halo is actually very strong, and you not mentioning the absolute timeless epic masterpiece that is Memento Mori surprised me. That song only gets better and better, over 15 years later, it's a mind blowing experience, like life itself encapsulated into a song.
Also, Siege Perilous, suffers more from its production quality than anything else(although yes Khan is a bit flat comparatively). Hearing the songs live on The Expedition sounds better than the album! and Khan does perform them better, changing parts that you might say sound flat(Millennium and The Expedition really shine. the final "Millenium" he sings at 5:55 really is incredible). I've been listening to them since Karma when my friend lent me his CD (bless him, what a life changing moment haha), which he only bought while in a store looking around because he thought the album art looked cool.

Mostly agree. Haven is definitely the best with Tommy, and Epica edges out The Black Halo, but I do think the Black Halo gets better towards the end. The stakes on the title track, Nothing Ever Dies and Memento Mori are high and it's amazing. The only song I don't care about is Serenade.
Will still agree that Epica is a little better.

Karma is by faaaar best album from Kamelot...true masterpiece...then goes epica, the fourth legacy and black halo...after that inspiration and creativity goes downhill...one or two ok songs on every new album and rest is boredom fest...

Mark Vanderbilt is a great singer..better than Tommy. My opinion..
Worst period of kamelot is Tommy's period..
Eternity is a good album, dominion is a masterpiece album..
Kamelot best singer is Roy and period too.

Strongly agree, Vanderbilt gets far too much hate, his style encompassed a very solid US power metal sound
