He was just self-driven and motitaved from a early age about music. I follow anything (video or article about this guy). He is one of my favorite drummers. I see a lot of people talk about his drumming but he was just chosen in my opinion. His approach to music is just different in good way. I have listened to all his interviews, and have came away with understanding that you can tell he studied with greats in how he approaches the drums.

I am also a big big fan of thomas, almost i consider a little bit like you like "i have read all of his interviews and videos" but let me tell you I was very dissapointed when i read an article of a sound engineer that got the chance to work with him in a concert and the thing was that he was invited to join the band at the backstage after the show and he was also a big fan of thomas like us, he tells that Thomas was like being very disrepectful and prepotent with him, acting with high ego, so he decided to better leave than to remain with that image of thomas in his head. I felt like this because he is always talking about "good vibes" and thats stuff but well... at the end of the day hes just a human like everybody else.
