What I love about this video is he's not embarassed about makling mistakes and even points out whe messes up and is sloppy and admits things like "I haven't practiced those triplets in a while". He's just having fun and showing his love for the art of drumming
I practiced this soooo damn much when they put this up way back

JoJo is one of my favorite drummers, and Nerve is one of the most amazing improv groups around. Pridgen is equally amazing, maybe a bit more haphazzard but thats not necessarily a bad thing. The Mars Volta is the best band of all time. Period.

Friends! You are making a great job bringing this to the world. I'm from Argentina and I've been drawn to the afro-american music (from jazz to bossa nova, son, and a long list of etceteras) since I was a little kid.
I'm making a little drum video about "chops". I'm a drummer and I like to share my experience with drums and music. I want to put a little fragment of this clip, a few seconds of Thomas' fluidity and beautiful musicality.

He's a great drummer... what kind of drum is that? it has two shallow tom from DW but i think the bass drum is a yamaha..

naw he dont...u know hella gospel drummers just learn foot techniques that-once learned make it hella easy to just fly with one pedal...doubles aint no big thing either...idk why hella people think u need to use a double for the work of one...not sayin u think so but umm also as far bein able to tell if he is ...i was front row at a tmv thing and i could see through his clear set and hear through the monitors that he wasnt using no double pedal foo...
