After watching your channel for some time, I used the techniques I learned to clean my own F40. A 1/8 scale car cleans a lot quicker but shines just as beautifully. ✨️
This is one of tbe best detailing I've seen..not because of the extent of the damage, simply because of the fact that whenever you see these types of cars paint corrected. It usually hardly ever needs it except to correct the last 1%. This needed a full correction like a 10 year old odyssey would and seeing the transformation on such a special car is amazing
It's actually one of the worst jobs I've seen. All beginner mistakes were made here. This car will never be able to be polished again as no nm measurements were taken by laser of the paint thickness. The steering wheel will start to crack because the top oil layer has been removed and leather nutrients and conditioner has not been used. Plastic component oil sealants and conditioner have not been used. It hurts to watch this being done to this car. I guess it's good work if you think anything shiny must be good, regardless of the fact that the car will never be able to be polished again in its lifetime. Kill any car, but not an F40.
@gold333 everything you said there was retarded. They measure paint depth in almost every video. You honestly believe they measure paint depth on a $50,000 car but not a $5,000,000 car?..you can't film every part of a 4 day detail. You just look dumb. You think anyone on earth would bring their f40 to a shop that didn't have incredibly high reputation? You think people who are restoring paint on one of the rarest cars on earth don't know how to condition an interior?
Consistency is the key! And you guys always deliver. Your work level and quality from your videos to the every nuts and bolts is top notch. Amazing job guys!
The amount of 'fresh' air directed to this engine & the open plexi-glass piece above is over the top & so well thought out ,NACA air scoops & side vents ,air filters...the key to a reliable performance engine is cooling & heat extraction..!!...some F40's have an extra plate size extractor fan (manual) to the small rear oil radiator (gear box) ,it does have a tendency to over heat...
Well now I understand Jakub why you said the car on Sunday would be the one to add to your collection! WOW the ULTIMATE boy toy!!!! I just love the F40 as I'm sure everyone watching does. I got to sit in one once and it was amazing. Leno needs to add one of these to his collection I can't believe he doesn't have one yet. I REALLY wish you would MC these videos yourself it's not that hard or time consuming and I think you should be the face of your own company. Please reconsider and give one a try!!!! You did an awesome job at Christmas when you did the car give away....Gord
@@curtiswiseman5207 Ya I know Curtis but I thought in this instance because F40's are so special he might make an exception. people are always asking him why he doesn't own any Ferraris. His answer is always because he hates the dealerships!!
I notice you put your best man/employee on this job;) Superb work !! When you are detailing a car for RM auctions, you've arrived !! Congratulations for your hard work.
Reflecting with my Sunday morning cup o' joe. I guess John Wick is not the only man with a singular focus..."I once saw Jake finish an F40 in a garage with a single red clay bar! Who does that?" The more I watch, the more I think what kind of training do you do to keep your health and strength up? Not kidding (well, maybe a little). Happy Sunday Jake & Co.
I can assure you, Peter, the strength comes from within, and from working hard hours almost every single day. The man, the myth, the legend, Jakub himself
So happy to hear you liked those little sections! It’s hard to do when we dont have a special car we decide to do it for because the shop needs to be really quiet and only one person working really but we’re going to try and do it more
@@IAMDetailing Sure, I can completely understand it. Try to do it more often, or dedicate a whole video if possible for the ASMR community. Keep up the great work guys! 😊
We’ve definitely considered it. The issue is we would have to do the car after hours in order for it to work. We’re usually working on more than one car at a time, and it’s a lot of work to film and record each piece really slowly with just one audio going. We might try a few ASMR sound only videos in the future on some really special cars. Some of the tools also sound SO annoying lol
That car came in incredibly water spotted and swirl marked to s***.... You brought it back to Ferrari standard. 👍 Always top-notch work, worth watching 🏁
I'm really impressed by the finish of the cars and also how you explain the what and the why. Plus the camera work is excellent. Best detailing/restoration channel on RUclips!
paint correcting an f40 has to be one of the most stressful jobs on the planet lol. For those that dont know, the paint is unbelievably thin ... to save weight lol. Its unbelievably thin, and burning through this paint with mechanical tools is a very very real possibility. Expert hands and knowledge required
Hi I watching your polishing process not to bad if you cut single stage paint more aggressive with Rupes Rotory compound and extra cut wool pad rupes 3 and 5 inch you can open clear coat 85,90 % make more sharp and take more deep scratches.and second steps try use Sonax perfect finish with yellow rupes foam pad. You can see different results. And Respect for your hard and nice work!

One detailer said you have to be very careful with power buffers. Ferrari was so obsessed with saving weight that they used less paint than they normally would. That's why you can see the carbon fiber through it in some places. It is not a defect in the manufacturing process.
Yes but in late models like this one they actually add more paint because many people complained about the quality in first few hundred cars 😉 so here you can’t see the texture as much like in early cars
so simple from an exterior look..,but when put on a lift and observing the way this chassis is built & put together..the care for every single bolt and parts makes you understand why this marvel is still so well planted on the road...everything has a purpose for performance..actually at 20.56..,I"m wondering about the orientation & positioning and the purpose of the 2 tubing (grey) parts oriented and close to the the rims...??

Early cars had very thin paint for saving weight. Buyers started complaining about quality of the paint / visible carbon fiber texture, so Ferrari decided to put more paint on later models and hide some of the carbon-fiber texture. We didn't cut anything crazy off it. Even though you can’t really see on the video, but are still some light scuff marks as we wanted to be quite careful… the paint is not 100% but it’s really nice and very presentable… new buyer will be happy. And we're quite happy too!
