- Here, after a brief intro, is a full unedited on board of my time on the Nurburgring GP track. I hadn't driven this track before, only on Forza etc. Josh is with me in the K24 coupe too!
This video has taken 15 hours to upload. I hope it's worth it. 😄

Hey Danny. Fuckin' nuts is right!😅 That was outstanding to watch, so I can only imagine how it felt to get the M3 out on such a pristine track and in the Motherland, no doubt. The "snick" sound of the shifter is so satisfying.👌 The E46 M3 held its own quite nicely... what a great car, mate! Wild, yet somehow civil at the same time. The mic worked fine and the play by play was really nice. For me, the best part was around 10:39 . What awesome company to be in and look at Josh go!😀 Thanks for the ridealong, bud. Most enjoyable video Dan. Always good to see M3's getting used properly and their owners enjoying them. Plan on taking the E30 later this year and definitely intend on visiting the GP track. (At least I know my track insurance covers me on there!) The BC's seemed to be holding their own too!
Anyway, thanks for taking the time to upload the video and look forward to seeing footage from out on the Nordschleife mate.

M3 test drive, from the UK to Germany, GP track and the Nordschleife and back to the UK, well done Danny.
That looked epic, surprised to see bikes out at the same time as cars, will be doing Brands Hatch GP next week, done the indie track last year which was great fun, so the GP track should be very good.
Love these rare spots of enthusiasm mate. Not sure if it's because you weren't taking it too seriously like you were on your sub 8 missions or if the coffee's just stronger this year.

One part of the ring we never got to go on.....looked great!
That mid corner/corner exit oversteer looks like it prevents you from getting on the gas as early as possible, and you give a bit extra caution through the corner instead of attacking. If you can, try a bit less rear roll bar stiffness and maybe a softer shock compression in the rear. Bigger tires would help too, 255's are not big enough in the rear of an E46 M3. 275/35/18 or 285/30/18 are popular sizes for this car here in the states!

Sideways G I have an E46 M3 and mine feels pretty planted when I’m trashing it on some twisty roads. Have to admit I haven’t driven it on track but still watching this video was kinda alarming seemed the backend just stepped out suddenly unless he let off the accelerator causing it to lose balance and oversteer?!
He's got coilovers on the car. They might need softening at the rear to keep better traction...

That was a really impressive drive and looked loads of fun. I had a E46 330ci M sport and the brakes on "enthusiastic" road driving were awful. Really bad heat fade. It was also the first car I tried to learn heel toe and I couldn't do it. BMW accelerator pedel obvs hinged from the bottom and slightly further back than the brake I just couldn't get it. But that was a sick video to watch man.
Thanks man. Yeah the BMW pedal took me a while too, I started to heel and toe in a Citroen Saxo, BMW felt so odd at first but getting there. As you can see in the video my shifts aren't the best at the moment, but with some more time hopefully I'll get it nailed.👌
Now there's a car you don't see often anymore, the Saxo. I think they were all binned into fields, ditches and trees by barry boys. Especially the VTR's and VTS's. I'm getting better at the ol' heel toes in my ep3. I think the short pedal travel helps. But you're e46 changes beat my ep3 changes I reckon.

Btw im no expert but i think that on the corner that you always lost the back end you should take a more "diagonal" line and exit into the outside line with less steering input.
