Nobody that saw the video can really explain how the car started flying so easily, it really barely hit the barrier and just went up. You live & you learn. An M4 is very strong car, highly recommend it. Thanks for asking if we were okay and hope your next weekend is better! :)
Hope you’re alright man!! I had a question about crashing on the ring, do you literally have to pay for every single thing (barrier damage, recovery truck, track closure, etc), or do you just pay your deductible from your insurance? It scares me how much it might cost to crash there 😅

Great video! As a RIng local, watching experiences like yours from time to time makes you appreciate the opportunity to just go on track on a random afternoon even more. That was a really enjoyable video, thank you. I did three similar trips to the Ring with friends many years ago but the big increase in crowds and queues has put me off returning. Instead i can live the best bits watching videos like yours. Well done.

People seem to have no respect for the track and overestimate their abilities big time. It's a shame. Great video mate! Shame for your trip not going so well, but you have the right mindset.
Yes, it seems to make everyone more desperate to get a fast lap in when the track reopens and it's usually carnage as a result. I think it's often due to people only been there for a weekend so they have limited window to get track time, we always went for a full week so had plenty of time to get on the ring and plenty to do if it was closed. Some beautiful roads (257) to Cochem where you can sit outside the restaurants beside the river. Glad you tried the hotstone steak, a must have whilst there!
🤣🤣🤣 Might do some more big road trips with the boys. People seem to like it. Longer content is better nowadays too. Just takes it out of me. 2 weeks of solid editing. Need to learn how to talk to the camera to make it easier 😅
It's not a "Lotus Problem", clean the inside of your windshield bruv and ur good lol And I'm not saying wipe it, I'm saying *clean it* , with a cleaner. That's all sorts of dust and dirt on the inside of your windshield and that's why the water molecules got something to stick to
Hey I was there arriving on the Sunday that you was there lol Went out on the Monday weather was perfect 👌 Tuesday alot of people was complaining about tyres being too hot and it was a hot day. Didn't see rain until the Wednesday on the autobahn all in all it was just perfect location traffic weather everything just came together at the right time
Great video, really enjoyed that. Not often I watch all the way through but did with this one - nothing quite like a road trip with friends in some nice cars. Did a similar trip a while back in my Motech M140i with two reprobate buddies in their Golf R's and your video made me reminisce a lot.
I've literally just got back from doing the Nurburgring this week with my son in our C43 AMG! We left Tuesday at 6am, ferry to Dunkirk and arrived at the hotel at 8pm UK time so a whole 14hrs of travelling. The hotel was spitting distance from the track so we got awoken at 8am to the sounds of high revving engines already on their way around. It was absolutely glorious! We watched the cars whizzing past at RUclips Corner before our time on the track came round. Luckily both us, and the car, made it unscathed before grabbing an iconic photo of the car at night, emblazoned in the red glow of the Nurburgring sign on the road outside of the track. We managed to get three days of unbelievably good weather and the memories made there will last us both our lifetime.
Great video 👍 I had to laugh at your wife as reminded me of my wife when she was 7 months pregnant and we went to the Isle of Man in my Evo 6 , to say it was a little bumpy for her was an understatement 😂
Superb vid guys. Have to say your mrs is an absolute champ, poor girl suffering in that god awful uncomfortable flimsy Lotus with no aircon. She needs a bloody medal. Love your enthusiasm. Even though I am not in the slightest way a Lotus fan, and that the video reaffirmed the fact they are utter dog shit, I really enjoyed the vid. Look forward to your next trip. Good luck with your firstborn guys. 🙏🏻👍👍👍
Hello guys and ladies. Love the video. I have always wanted a lotus like the blue one. And I dreamed of going to the Nurburgring one day with my beautiful son but he died at Christmas of a massive heart attack he was only 28. So I guess it will never happen now and suffering with severe mental health issues self harm and being disabled has taken its toll. It’s nice that you all had a good time. I wish you and your lady all the best with the birth of your first child. Take care guys From Richard Dronfield Derbyshire
Love this. I took my 1st trip there end of June when my boy had finished his GCSEs. Very similar experience, wet and twitchy, dry and awesome. Made it there and back unscathed in an RX8. Need to go again because I drove so slow compared to those Ring taxis. Thanks for the video and memories
This is my 25th year of going to the Ring, most years 6-8 times. I get a trip like yours every so often with bad weather, track closures etc. One year I had three trips in a row where I did zero laps, that nearly stopped me returning, but the pure joy of a good trip can’t be matched so I keep going! Really enjoyed your video, hopefully see you out there on your next trip. 👍🏻
Been going 5-10 trips a year for 21yrs, ( brother now lives there) but still like watching peoples first time trips as reminds how we were blown away back in 2003, it was very different then and more of a secret , track was way more drivable due to power of cars . But I live in Kent so it’s less of a palaver for me. I think next time you go you should really look to book a trackday, it’s much better track time and generally better standard of driving, get an instructor and probably a car you’re more confident in wet or dry like the mini and you’ll get more out of your trip. I’d highly recommend spa as well as that’s fine even in the wet.
@antj29 we would have done spa earlier in the week if it wasn't for the pesky F1 😅 I'd imagine it'd be a little underwhelming in the Lotus, you need big straight line speed for that track, but it's definitely on the list of tracks to get to. As for the private track days, I've heard other people have cottoned on to this and the standard of driving is declining slowly. Still, must be better than the Terroristfarthen 😂
As a German who often goes to the ring , this is the average ring experience, especially on weekends. I like coming to watch but actually driving on the track is a hastle, traffic jams everywhere always, too crowded , and too many people who they are racing drivers
Did you look at the model cars in the back of the petrol station? Went in July 2012 with a Fiat Multipla the Mrs and two kids and a boot full of luggage . Epic!
I didn't (because there was a queue of cars behind me), but Glenn in the M2 did. I think he said most of them were 1:43, but the detail on them was unbelievable. Expensive though 😆
Found your channel by this video and definitely left a subscription! Loved the video. Didn’t even notice it was a 41 minute long video as the time flew by! Keep it up!
A great video, well crafted. Nice. I use the Eurotunnel as the sea gives me the willies. Always specify the tall carriages when booking to avoid alloy-trauma. Eurotunnel staff couldn't give a XXXX about your wheels. I usually go during the week to avoid the crowds, but you could be lucky either way. Look forward to your next trip. Did us all a solid with this taster lads. Thanks.
Brave of you to admit you have no spatial awareness when driving. I was once followed onto the Eurotunnel by a Lamborghini which was bouncing off both sides. When they came to the end the driver and passenger rushed to get out to check their alloys and bot doors swung up and hit the roof. Any dreams that had of looking cool were shattered.
Loved this, you guys must be from my next of the woods (North east) I’m going again this year with my wife and two kids this’ll be the 4th time, can’t want!
Fistly can I comment on how well put together this Video is and Secondly may I wish yourself & family well, your lass is a legend for joining you on your adventure. Since watching @mgcharoudin's content, I've become obsessed with visiting the Nurburgring. Your content has further fuelled this obsession, with your genuine insight and banter with the lads on your adventure. It's certainly a #BucketList experience for any petrol head and I thank you for your genuine "no Frills" approach to this insightful and informative video. Keep up the excellent work and I hope to possibly see you at the ring the future.
I went to the ring last year in my own R53 mini and had the complete opposite experience to you. It was dry, quiet and no crashes at all. Shocked to see your experience.
I went in June for my birthday. The driving standard wasn't too bad. But it was midweek which I think is the best time to go. I stayed at the Apex hotel which was very good as well.
Couple of comments: Your wife is a keeper! Putting up with sitting in that Lotus on that trip would end most marriages! Touristfahrten days are the Wild West, and you sure struck a bad one compounded by the weather. You asked about other experiences: From New Zealand in 2010,11, and 13, I had 3 drives in the 24 Hour, for a total of 155 laps in practice, qualifying, and race. And all I ever dreamed of doing before that was a few tourist laps! I feel incredibly privileged, especially having shared a pit garage with Hans Joachim Stuck, and next pit garage to Sabine (God rest her saintly soul 😢). I can die happy. The Ring is not over-rated, it's the petrolhead's Holy Grail. Get back there! You've got the perfect car for it.
I’m always on the lookout for new content and this just banged that nail! I love going out there and would even consider retiring there especially with the way UK is going….. I will say, once id done a track day there I decided TF was way too much hassle and based on that I’ll be heading out late September for a 2day DN event, the second one there this year. Loved the vid, the banter and well…. All of it😘
Was good fun following you round in the morning, seems I was pretty lucky to get one more lap in at around half 6 looking at what chaos you were dealing with 😅.
Hello from the land of the snails😂 (NL). Very enjoyable to watch, your road trip. Sorry ‘bout all the bad fortune. And thanks for curing me of my lust for a Lotus😂. Will stick with my 996 for now. With a bit of suspension tweaking they’re good fun, also on the Ring. (Not many laps yet, maybe more next year). Cheers!
Hi , great video, it can be carnage there at times !, try combining it with the 24hrs of Spa which is only 60 mile away and a great weekend of racing. I have done it 4 times like that and it makes a great week of motorsport.
Great video! We did our first trip the 29th to the 30th, just after you left by the looks of it. Place was absolutely red hot and not a cloud in the sky for 2 full days. My first lap looked exactly like yours, just grateful to get around. Do you mind me asking the name of the place you stayed in Adenau? Looks quality 👍🏻
Great video really enjoyed it. Sadly since covid going to the ring this is how it is these days and its only getting worse. Gone are the prime days of quiet lapping of a evening. I think someone mentioned track days but your right the calibre of clients also has gone a bit south and they often have a fair few reds so i've given up. Honestly though Spa in the lotus will be fine only one big straight its more twisty than you think and from Hull try Zandvoort. Its 45 minutes from Rotterdam...
Hey, glad youre survived youre first Rounds on the Nordschleife. I was on the Ring on that same Sunday with my Torch Red Corvette C8. Did about 10 nice Laps between the Red Flags. Im very often on Trackdays with various cars and im experienced. The Important thing is that youre car and you are unharmed !!. Great feeling to drive home without a Tow Truck. Greetings from Germany.
Hi Pal, I spotted you whilst I was on my second lap on Saturday. Very brave going around on your semi slicks, the track was greasy as hell. I can send you the clip if you wish.
I've been going to the Ring at least once a year since 2008. In 2019 I did my first track day there and I would never do a tourist day again (unless I happened to be in the area maybe). Yes, a track day is more expensive (you can pay around £450 for the day) but you get all day to drive, less cars, all cars are up to standard, no bikes, everyone else knows what they are doing and has some sense and, most importantly, I've never seen a red flag at the Ring on a track day. Sure, it doesn't get you out of the trip there and back and it doesn't avoid the potential for rain but, overall, the experience is far superior to a tourist day. nice vlog. i don't normally watch vlogs but watched this one all the way through. Thanks for the upload.
@QuickLap had a quick look after your comment about the private track days, but couldn't see anything regarding where you join the track. Am I right in thinking you're up in the GP pitlane? 100% it'd be worth it if you have an area to load up with parts Thanks for watching. Not something I usually make, but wanted to document it all for the boys 👌
@@lookship You still join/exit from where the diner is. Another benefit of a track day is you don't have to exit the track at the end of each lap, you can just keep going round and round. I've never had to park anywhere other the main car park. You can't really hang out there with trailers and parts, people would get super pissed off. The overflow car park is still available so if you wanted to have some spare bits, thats where you could leave them. Unlike UK track days, I don't recall seeing many, if any, people with trailers and parts. Thats not to say that you can't do it. By the way, the more well known track day companies (Circuit Days and Javelin for example) sell the days discounted at the start of the year. When you book before the end of January, for example, you'll save maybe £100 on the cost of the day (which is where my £450'ish price came from). You'll find that tourist sessions still run the day before/after the track day (sometimes even in the evening after the event ends at about 4pm) so you can still get additional time if thats your thing.
Did the ring in 2017 you think it's scary yet awesome at the same time try it on a 06 yam r1 motorbike now that's scary I lost the contents of my stomach on that 1 lap never ever again on a bike
Don't complain about the Netherlands mate, it's literally 2 hours from the ferry to the border of the germany, if you use "flitsmeister" you know where the speeding camera's are and you can go for it.
I didn't go to the ring, but did take my wife on a "babymoon" in our Elise when she was about 7 months pregnant! She did pretty good getting in and out of it given the circumstances.
I was on the track today. Checked the track in the morning. Track closed. I live two hours away, so I grabbed a friend and drove there. Arrived there, track closed. So we went to devils diner and had lunch. And all of the sudden, track open. We got into my MX5 and it only took 15 minutes to reach the track. The traffic was absolutely insane. I’ve enjoyed it like always but I think thanks to the long track closing literally everyone wanted to get a couple of laps in. After one lap in insane traffic we decided it’s not worth to go for a second and drove to Brünnchen to look at the cars flying by. After 15 minutes it quiet down. The next red flag xD It has become the norm. Weekends are insane. I’ll still go there though. It’s just a blast xD
@Danje1-MX5 the traffic situation needs to be improved around the track entrance, in my opinion. You can't have people stuck in an overflow car park for over an hour just because the track has re-opened. If you had to leave the area in an emergency, there was zero way of doing so. However, I think 1 lane before the gates to get on track is still needed. Otherwise, you'll have too many cars on track.
@@lookship Yeah there were way to many cars on track. All the gates were operational + the bypass gate on the track. It was so cramped. The MX5 is a lot of fun but can’t compete with the billions of GT3 RSses. So I pretty much have to stay right in fear of getting rear ended. Just a couple of times I could drive the race line.
Nice one! Got to say you a brave (or worse😉) man for driving that lotus all the way. Although it didn’t look as bad as what your mate had to deal with though haha. I get twitchy driving m3/m4 etc, especially with the tunnel as it’s around 13 hours drive then but it’s a very good point you made about the ferry though once fuel is taken into consideration it’s around the same price but a much more relaxing experience only an hour from me to hull I assume not too much longer for you. Only other guy I’ve seen with the FM3T conversion in uk I’m sure I’ve seen it before on YT, was it something to do with parts and police? Mines currently being re wrapped in a lovely bmw individual dark purple colour match (was racing green before that). I go to the ring quite a lot, and spa is a really good day too, little less stressful than the ring sometimes too I have to say, definitely give it a go mate. Be good to come and drive with you lads, you’ll have to advertise your next trip😅great to watch this was, love seeing other people experience it for the first time, hopefully you and the Mrs enjoyed it. Subscribed!
I made a video a few years back on Josh's F81 M3. There was a conversion made popular on YT that ended up being crushed because it was built using stolen parts 😅
I only have to drive 2,5 hrs to get to the Ring but because of so many Red Flags on Tourist drives I only go the to watch VLN RCN 24H races. Cool Video👍
@@lookship I'm just now arranging a day trip back there again next month. All triggered by your great vid. My bud and I went out last year in a £1,000 MX-5 and had an amazing time. 😎
Brillant video. Really informative. A few friends of mine have been over and said Bmers are King of the Ring. They are the most used car on The green hell and the most crashed one! Business as usual!
Cracking video… love the honesty of the reality of it all. Anyone’s that’s been there has experienced the same… weather, closures, in trepidation … with beers, banter and memories… you’re not alone. I’ve been over a few times with a fixed hook on my Lotus with mates the same and never had an issue… didn’t know it was a thing, so felt it was harsh for your mate. The roads in the Eifel region are simply superb. Think - road between the ring and Adenau - repeated for 000’s of miles of fun. We drive the roads by day (150miles or so), and then head back to the track for TF. It makes the trip - you’d love it. @escape_space
@alasdairgillies6808 yeah we weren't sure why Browny got stopped with the tow eye either. Watch a lap with Misha in an S3 350 Exige with it fitted and he was allowed straight on too 🤷🏻♂️

Great video. These things remind you of the great experiences in life... the sort of thing people like Josef Starmer are attempting to strangle out of the UK. I travel over to the Ring quite a bit.. always running fixed tow eyes on my car, never had an issue... odd one that. I haven't made it to the Shuey museum yet, so thanks for that. If it were me, I'd park the go karts on the upper floor somewhere else and have the C9 Sauber up there, each to their own.. cheers for the video. P.s. from an almost local... it rains in the Eifel.... lots...
Nice to re-live the first trip from someone else's perspective, 20 years this year since I first went on a lap and had no clue where I was going since sims/games weren't what they are now. I quit TF over a decade ago, it's just a circus. Trackdays only. There's also the tiny issue that if you're from the UK your insurance will come after you for whatever they have to pay out to 3rd parties. So if your Lotus springs a leak and someone in a Veyron drops it on your fluid and kills his firstborn in the passenger seat you will be poor for the rest of your life. Avoid TF like the plague that it is! Of course makes sense that you tried it first.
I rented that same Golf from Nurblife, it’s a great beginners track car I quite enjoyed it, also had a few laps with yellows…I took an instructor on all laps, best insurance for that 22k excess
@@lookship No lol, I did go into manual a few times by accidentally hitting a flappy paddle. I had enough on my mind as it is, I’ll let the automatic do its thing!
I should have stayed out in my car in hindsight, but my mate only had the car for 90 mins, so I couldn't resist jumping in to watch him enjoy it too. There was a Porsche there (blue with white stripe) that must have done 15/20 laps in the wet on Saturday. Baller.
Polish svg guy.. drives fast and alot 🏎💨 Priority should always be to get on track early in weekends and stay there😊🤪 There is T13 to park up and hang around without needing to go out from track 😉

What a well paced video, could watch for hours. It's all about little things and experience along the way. Cheers from Brasil!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Creamed me knickers when I saw a 40 minute Lookship video. Lovely stuff, really enjoyed that.
🤣🤣🤣
Might do some more big road trips with the boys. People seem to like it. Longer content is better nowadays too. Just takes it out of me. 2 weeks of solid editing. Need to learn how to talk to the camera to make it easier 😅
If you can not see the Nürburg it's raining. If you can see the Nürburg rain is coming.
I agree about the 100kph limits ! Even more frustrating for motorcycle riders !!
It's not a "Lotus Problem", clean the inside of your windshield bruv and ur good lol
And I'm not saying wipe it, I'm saying *clean it* , with a cleaner. That's all sorts of dust and dirt on the inside of your windshield and that's why the water molecules got something to stick to
Hey I was there arriving on the Sunday that you was there lol
Went out on the Monday weather was perfect 👌 Tuesday alot of people was complaining about tyres being too hot and it was a hot day. Didn't see rain until the Wednesday on the autobahn all in all it was just perfect location traffic weather everything just came together at the right time
I can totally appreciate how much time went into recording and editing this. Very well done! Great vid
Great video, really enjoyed that. Not often I watch all the way through but did with this one - nothing quite like a road trip with friends in some nice cars. Did a similar trip a while back in my Motech M140i with two reprobate buddies in their Golf R's and your video made me reminisce a lot.
Glad you enjoyed it. I had an M140i a couple of years back. One of the building blocks of this channel.
That's what it's all about mate 🙌
Thanks for the video. I really enjoyed it 👍. Fair play taking the Lotus down. Look forward to more Lotus content (I'm a Lotus fan boy!)
@chrissengland got abother video in the works. Not as long as this mind 😅
Haha, cheers bud. The cars great when the conditions are, but we were unlucky with a lot of different variables 😅
Take care guys
From Richard Dronfield Derbyshire
Very nice video man. Watched it all the way till the end and that doesn't happen a lot. Awesome vid, awesome place!
Thanks bud!
Love this. I took my 1st trip there end of June when my boy had finished his GCSEs. Very similar experience, wet and twitchy, dry and awesome. Made it there and back unscathed in an RX8. Need to go again because I drove so slow compared to those Ring taxis.
Thanks for the video and memories
Everyone drives slow compared to the taxis 🤣🤣
This is my 25th year of going to the Ring, most years 6-8 times. I get a trip like yours every so often with bad weather, track closures etc. One year I had three trips in a row where I did zero laps, that nearly stopped me returning, but the pure joy of a good trip can’t be matched so I keep going! Really enjoyed your video, hopefully see you out there on your next trip. 👍🏻
That's some rotten luck 😅
100% I'll be back
Been going 5-10 trips a year for 21yrs, ( brother now lives there) but still like watching peoples first time trips as reminds how we were blown away back in 2003, it was very different then and more of a secret , track was way more drivable due to power of cars .
Wow ! I loved this, sos so Great ! Almost 20 yrs I have been there every year and this made so cheerful moments back inmy mind. Thank You !
Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Hi, always remember the basic rule of Nürburgring " slippery when/if wet " .
Keep it up!
Cheers man!
I visited from the US. I can’t wait to go back on the Ring. That Nürblife GTI was so much fun. Great content.
The Nürburgring should be closed to BMWs. To much trouble.
Thanks.
Aye Tom in the Exige requested the wider carriage on the day because he was worried he'd kerb a wheel and they let him on which was cool.
Superb video. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The trip must have been awesome
@@Andy-qh9su was definitely an experience I won't forget 😅
I can’t wait to experience the ring. I go next August for 15 days in Germany and 2 of them will be just for the Ring.
Nice video, fun to watch. Nothing more fun than a week(end) Nurburgring with friends! Maybe see you there somethime
by the way in case you all didn't know
Lap timers are illegal on Touristenfahrt!
I didn't know that, but we had no intention of using a timer. Just there for a laugh.
Great video - trip looked amazing! Not jealous at all... Hope to see another vid with you lot back there!
We'd like to do another one like this for sure. I'll remember the mics next time 🫣
Loved this, you guys must be from my next of the woods (North east) I’m going again this year with my wife and two kids this’ll be the 4th time, can’t want!
We certainly are. Enjoy!

Nicely filmed. You are a lucky man, Sally is utterly beautiful.
Respectful best wishes to both of you. Exciting times ahead !!
what a video. i love the hole thing. the longer form content really suits it.
Cheers boss 🫡
I went to the ring last year in my own R53 mini and had the complete opposite experience to you. It was dry, quiet and no crashes at all. Shocked to see your experience.
Luck of the draw 😅
Great video, my advice go there in the month of june or september, less crowded
100%. We aimed for June, but trying to get 10 people off work together limited our options 😅
Intended or not, this video had some of the old Top Gear vibes. Well done! I really enjoyed it.
Genuinely the best comment I could ever wish to receive 👏
Glad you enjoyed it 😃
Was directed here from Pete's link on Facebook, fantastic video, well narrated and looked a great trip all round, have a sub :)
Pete putting the graft in. Some guy.
Cheers man glad you enjoyed it 🙌
I went in June for my birthday. The driving standard wasn't too bad. But it was midweek which I think is the best time to go. I stayed at the Apex hotel which was very good as well.
Couple of comments:
Your wife is a keeper! Putting up with sitting in that Lotus on that trip would end most marriages!
Touristfahrten days are the Wild West, and you sure struck a bad one compounded by the weather.
You asked about other experiences:
From New Zealand in 2010,11, and 13, I had 3 drives in the 24 Hour, for a total of 155 laps in practice, qualifying, and race.
Lucky man. Sounds like one hell of an experience.
Great video as always, I only just came back from the ring myself and its for sure a great experience!
Cheers man. Glad you enjoyed it. The ring and the vid 😅
All of it😘
Thanks for watching mush 🫶
Changing that switch was a fookin classic I nearly phoned an Ambulance 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😢
I think he's still sore 😂
1:36 I literally thought you said 'If you give her a slap' here, I had to rewind it to double check! 😂
May also work, but I don't advise 🤣
Been a whole, but as ever great content. Awesome motor. I feel you didn't overspend enough here 😅
Was good fun following you round in the morning, seems I was pretty lucky to get one more lap in at around half 6 looking at what chaos you were dealing with 😅.
One of my favourite photos with that Mini behind me!
Just had some rotten luck. At least it made the video a bit more interesting 😆
Have been lots of times, always carnage on Touristenfahrten . Trackdays at the ring the answer. Much higher standards of driving
Yeah, majority of people are saying the same thing.
Awesome luke. Best video yet. Hope you are loving the new car. 😍
Thanks man. I certainly am 👌
It was Residenz Kirchberg. 100% head back there, it was perfect for us. We nearly had the full place to ourselves.
Zandvoort is one hell of a shout!
Nice. I saw the C8 ploughing around when the track reopened 😉
Hi Pal, I spotted you whilst I was on my second lap on Saturday. Very brave going around on your semi slicks, the track was greasy as hell. I can send you the clip if you wish.
Brave or stupid, not sure which one 😆
That'd be awesome if you could. Instagram is probably the best spot @lookship 😀
100% it'd be worth it if you have an area to load up with parts
Thanks for watching.
@@QuickLap sounds ideal 👌
Should have hauled that lotus on a trailer
Using the kei truck to tow 😆
Did the ring in 2017 you think it's scary yet awesome at the same time try it on a 06 yam r1 motorbike now that's scary I lost the contents of my stomach on that 1 lap never ever again on a bike
Don't complain about the Netherlands mate, it's literally 2 hours from the ferry to the border of the germany, if you use "flitsmeister" you know where the speeding camera's are and you can go for it.
It should only be 2 hours. Took us 4 😂
@@lookship you really had some bad traffic in that case🫢
Nice video. What camera mount is that in the m2 using the centre armrest?
It was a 3d printed one Glenn had brought. Good for that central cab shot. I'd just use a headrest mount personally.
I didn't go to the ring, but did take my wife on a "babymoon" in our Elise when she was about 7 months pregnant! She did pretty good getting in and out of it given the circumstances.
Really good video btw!
@AtypicalDriver she was pretty comfy once she was in. I put her in the Mustang on the way home so she had A/C 😅
Thanks man appreciate it
once again ,what was the reason lotus wasn't allowed on a track in the beginning?
Fixed towing eye protruding out the grille. We saw many others allowed on track, so we perhaps just had a slightly more picky marshall.
Take 0.7bar or 4psu off your tires will get you around.
The next red flag xD
It has become the norm.
Great video! Love this sort of content.
Glad you enjoyed it! 👌
That video was a nice surprize, well worth the watch. Are you from Teesside? You sound like you might be.
T-T-Teessiders
Aye we're all from Teesside mate. Glad you enjoyed it 👌
@@lookship you can always tell a Teessider by the accent and some of the typical expressions used😅. My family is from there.
Pistenklause is amazing!
Food was great!
One of my mates owned that lotus in 2022 brilliant car
Ah nice! He wasn't the one who crashed it was he? 😅
18:07 never seen a car give birth before 😂
@@scoobysean555 😂😂😂
So elegant isn't he
I only have to drive 2,5 hrs to get to the Ring but because of so many Red Flags on Tourist drives I only go the to watch VLN RCN 24H races. Cool Video👍
Super video. Well worth all the post-prod efforts, it looks and sounds fantastic. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks mate. I think so too. Good memory for us all 🙌
@@lookship I'm just now arranging a day trip back there again next month. All triggered by your great vid. My bud and I went out last year in a £1,000 MX-5 and had an amazing time. 😎
@@Shmadley67 I'd love to do something like that on the channel. We all buy our mates cars and take them there. Might have to make it happen 👀
Brillant video. Really informative. A few friends of mine have been over and said Bmers are King of the Ring. They are the most used car on The green hell and the most crashed one! Business as usual!
Meganes and Yaris's are superb around there too 👌
Meganes and Yaris's are superb around there too 👌
Cracking video… love the honesty of the reality of it all.
@escape_space
@alasdairgillies6808 yeah we weren't sure why Browny got stopped with the tow eye either. Watch a lap with Misha in an S3 350 Exige with it fitted and he was allowed straight on too 🤷🏻♂️
muppets everywhere...
i live 2. 5 hour drive away from the ring ive been now this year 10 times a few days, 3 weeks ago i where there for 8 days. and. 6/8 sept iam going 2 the ferrari days at the nurburgring , i did the n taxi aswell and yes that whas so good that bmw that crashed on the barrier i have loads off pictures off that cause i where there aswell . hope u will have better luck next time without red flags
Nice. Fingers crossed 🤞
Want to use my pre paid laps up haha.
@30:00 pretty sure that’s Robert of Apex
Yeah, the payouts are horrific if anything goes wrong. Think we may be returning to do trackdays only.
I've never been either but you made the most of it the best you could, cool content bud have susbscribed, hello from Jockland. :)
Thanks bud!
surely the level of “drivers”has gone down the drain these days. What a bunch of buffoons.
Too many people thinking they're better than they actually are. Driving aids working overtime to keep them on the track.
I rented that same Golf from Nurblife, it’s a great beginners track car I quite enjoyed it, also had a few laps with yellows…I took an instructor on all laps, best insurance for that 22k excess
Did you turn the heated wheel on by accident to? 😆
@@lookship No lol, I did go into manual a few times by accidentally hitting a flappy paddle. I had enough on my mind as it is, I’ll let the automatic do its thing!
Another fab video well done👏👏 It looks like an amazing place and wonderful experience. I may have to pay a visit myself 😉🍀 xx
Cycle there? 👀
@lookship hey you know I like a challenge 😉🤣
Why the big UK sticker on the rear? You like it or do have to put it there?
Sunday was wicked.. Did 10laps early before it was just game over for the rest of the day.. 🤞
I should have stayed out in my car in hindsight, but my mate only had the car for 90 mins, so I couldn't resist jumping in to watch him enjoy it too.
There was a Porsche there (blue with white stripe) that must have done 15/20 laps in the wet on Saturday. Baller.
Polish svg guy.. drives fast and alot 🏎💨
Priority should always be to get on track early in weekends and stay there😊🤪
There is T13 to park up and hang around without needing to go out from track 😉
