  • Apologises for wandering out of focus but the Depth of Field on any camera is very small so wandering in and out of focus is an occupational hazard with these sorts of videos I'm afraid 👍

    If you don't mind me asking what paint brush do you use nice work as I won't to do some figure painting

    • @CWModelling
      @CWModelling  4 года назад

      Winsor & Newton Series 7, usually in a size 1 or 0......this brush is their Miniature series which I'm not too keen on but its still a beauty 👍

    Excellent work again! Thanks! I’ve been meaning to ask, how do you secure the figure to the cork? Looks like putty. Is that a one and done putty setup? Or can you reuse it? You don’t use wire drilled and glued into a boot?

    • @CWModelling
      @CWModelling  4 года назад +1

      There is a paper clip superglued in to the foot which is pressed in to the cork, I found a figure will spin as the holes in the cork get larger over time so the bluetac is there just to stop it rotating when you're painting 👍

    • @wolfpack4694
      @wolfpack4694 4 года назад +1

      That’s been my issue. The darn thing spins! Thanks for the tip! I’ll try that!

    Hi do you let paint dry between each colour?

    • @CWModelling
      @CWModelling  2 года назад

      Sometimes but other times I use wet blending, it depends on the situation and what you are trying to achieve👍

  • @TheSwedeMcCoy

    Looking great as usual but why red piping instead of pink on a panzer NCO?

    • @TheSwedeMcCoy
      @TheSwedeMcCoy 4 года назад +1

      Sorry for that, I see now on the thumbnail that he's meant to be a SPG NCO so then it's correct with red piping.

      Urban G SPG crew at Marder III had pink waffenfarbe because the were panzerjäger and belong to Panzerwaffe!

    You get great results with what you do but as a mere mortal I cannot see what you are doing because you speed the video up to much and the brush strokes are a blur. I for one would like to see you process at normal speed so I can actually see properly what uou are doing. what you are doing . Love your results thank you for the post

    • @kiwinesss
      @kiwinesss 4 года назад +1

      I second that, I would love to see the whole process. But I am guessing the video would be three times as long then and I would probably set the speed to twice the speed anyway .... so maybe it is better this way. Or it could be filmed at the normal speed and posted in three separate parts perhaps?

    • @CWModelling
      @CWModelling  4 года назад

      I'll see what i can do in the future as I've been asked this a few times.......trouble is an un-edited video would be about 5-6 hours long, so maybe 2X is the answer for a more 'in-depth' painting video every now and again......shall I include all the tea breaks as well 😜 lol

    • @kiwinesss
      @kiwinesss 4 года назад +1

      @@CWModelling This is what I was thinking, the un-edited version would be way too long. I was thinking maybe you could please both sides and do the summary version like you have been doing, and then a link to the full version for whoever wants to see the full process. Or maybe, as you say, a 2X version with the main parts, perhaps in 3 smaller version videos. But, whatever you end up doing, you will never be able to please everyone :)

    • @CWModelling

      @@kiwinesss True......I'll have a think ....as you say maybe a link to a longer video 👍

      I use the YT settings to slow down the playback to 0.5 or sometimes 0.25 to see the brush technique if I'm not sure
