Hi Neil, I can see that I spend way too much time on older movies. This was a great video, but I realized how little I know of up and coming actors. Oh, I'm familiar with Saorise Ronan and Florence Pugh, but felt pretty lost about the others. I really love the movie, Brooklyn. Sorry I know so little of most of these actors, but enjoyed your video anyway.

Hi Lita. No need to feel sorry. It’s good to spend time with the older movies as there are still so many of those to discover and rewatch. Thanks for watching and enjoy the rest of your weekend

Great video! Unless I missed her in your video, I’d include Nell Tiger Free. I thought she was great in The First Omen.

Hi. Thanks very much. Good mention. I did quite enjoy The First Omen but didn’t make the connection with having seen her before in Game of Thrones

Hi Neil, this was a great idea for a video, I recognise a lot of these upcoming actors but not all, it will be interesting to come back to this video in a few years and see how they have come along. A few of these I would say have already have a very decent filmography, the likes of Florence Pugh and Saoirse Ronan 🧐 So many new names to remember 😁 nicely done Neil, take care mate👍😃👍

Hi Alan. Thanks for watching. Yes, the likes of Pugh, Chalamet and Ronan are very well established now but I thought worth including them as they have made good choices over still a relatively short time frame.

Hi Neil. Interesting video. Mia Goth gets my vote. She seems like an actual unique star.

Hi Steve. Yes, Mia Goth is interesting. Clearly she has had a lot of creative input working with Ti West but I’m intrigued as to how she will work with other directors. Thanks for watching

Thanks, Stuart. He’s been great so far. I’m surprised he’s going to be playing Chris Eubank, will be interesting to see how that goes….And I should have mentioned you as a rising star with your subscriber numbers lately, good going!

Well, you certainly did your homework in this video. I’ve seen a lot of the movies you pointed out in this video. I only know about maybe 12 stars that you talked about. A lot of the new stars today feel as though they should be famous right away and not work for their fame. Some are just naturals at acting and some try too damn hard. Great video topic.

Hi Mike. Thanks for watching. I hear you but think a fair few of the ones I’ve mentioned here have been creating some great opportunities for themselves and are destined for longer careers.

Thank you for posting this video, Neil. It's very creative and informative, and I can see that you put a lot of effort into it. There are some names I recognize here, but I have to admit I'm woefully out of touch with current cinema. My chances to see a lot of these names are limited, as I don't have the streaming channels. That, plus I enjoy living in the past way too much. I need to get over the notion that I can't trust anyone under the age of 30!!

Hi Mike. Thanks for recognizing the effort even if the names don’t mean much. I’m getting a fair few comments that people aren’t watching modern movies. Understandable when there’s so much cinema history still to explore and rewatch.

Hey Neil, what a fantastic video! What a wonderful idea to highlight the interesting younger actors at the moment. You named a lot of the ones I am a big fan of like Julia Garner, Jessica Henwick, Thomasin McKenzie, Harris Dickinson and Josh O'Connor. Zendaya is a really interesting one I think. Like yourself it sounds like, Challengers wasn't for me, but I thought she was fantastic in it, and looking at her filmography it's surprising to see so little there. I'm keen to see what sort of varied roles she takes on in the years to come. A couple actors that I really like the look of would be Kristine Kujath Thorpe, a Norweigan actor who I thought was fantastic in Ninja Baby, Sick of Myself and The Promised Land, and Kit Zauhar who while there isn't much to go on yet, is a writer, director and actor making and starring in her own films. Also, Tony Revolori who I think is doing a great job of moving between some supporting roles in bigger films like Marvel's Spiderman and then working with the likes of Wes Anderson and more indie roles, and though she really only has shined so far in Prey, Amber Midthunder I think has some great potential.

Warren, thanks so much. Most people commenting so far are telling me they don’t watch modern movies so it’s a relief that at least some of this video resonates. A couple of names you have given me there who I’m not familiar with, thanks. I almost included Amber Midthunder as I really liked her in Prey but then didn’t see much else to go on, but saying that I now see she will be in a movie with Ayo Edebiri, who I did talk about

Hello Neil great video, I enjoyed that. You've made me oddly curious about an upcoming Benn-Eubank film. I think Chris Sr is a fascinating character.
Julia Garner is fantastic in Ozark. I don't watch a lot of TV but I was hooked by that.
Not sure if he's still class as a young actor but I really enjoy watching Caleb Landry Jones.

Hi Roy. Thanks very much. My mind is boggling wondering how David Jonsson is going to portray Eubank, that’s going to be a challenge considering the boxer’s manner and affectations. Yes, I’m a fan of Julia Garner for sure, she is making some really interesting choices in her film and tv roles. It’ll be good to see her in The Wolf Man in January. Caleb Landry Jones is a good mention. I was disappointed with Queen & Country (John Boorman’s follow up to his excellent Hope and Glory) but liked him in The Florida Project. Interesting that up next he will be playing Dracula for director Luc Besson and co-starring Christoph Waltz, so that’s going to be one to look out for

I seem to be spending most of my time finding older films that I haven't seen and modern movies have kind of taken a backseat. Most of the actors that you highlighted are ones that I don't know but I will try and do better. I did like Dominic Sessa's performance in The Holdovers. I did know Nathalie Emmanuel, Sydney Sweeney, Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya and have probably seen a few of the others but my current movie knowledge is lacking. Nice highlighting.

Hi Randy. Thanks for watching and I don’t think you’re alone there. There are still so many older movies to be captivated by that it’s hard to focus on all of the new movies and rising stars. I know some of those who watch my channel don’t watch new movies at all

Well I’m another I’m afraid I don’t watch modern films either I gave them up a few years ago when movies all seem to have a political agenda and/or pc. A big no thanks from me I watch movies to escape the world and be entertained if I want that misery I’ll watch the news.
Like others have said there is more than enough back catalogue to be going on with for a thousand years 😊 that suits me just fine.
My respect for you for giving the new stuff a go each to their own as it should be 😊

Hi. Well thanks for watching the video despite modern movies not being of interest. That seems to be the case for a number of people who are commenting.
