This old take compared to the actual new stuff of Jinjer shows the development of both the band and Tatiana as vocalist. When the old songs are still impressive, the new songs are on another level of quality.
Another nice reaction bro. Yeah "early" Jinjer is still awesome, the pure rawness is what makes it so. So many Jinjer fans will say react to "Scissors" or "Outlander" or "Exposed as a Liar" when it comes to older Jinjer songs, and don't get me wrong, they are all fantastic, but I'm gonna suggest that you should react to "No Hoard of Value" official lyric video. Alot of "reactors" do not react to that song, and I don't know why, I think because it's a lyric video. But that song is frickin phenomenal, and the video is so well done. If you choose to react to it, you won't be disappointed. Anyhow continue to enjoy your Jinjer journey, and as always, stay Metal. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🎶🎶🎶
Another older song that kicks ass but gets no love is When Two Empires Collide. It comes right after Who is Gonna Be the One on the album but it has no music video or live video so nobody ever pays attention to it, but the lyrics hit so hard.
@@StickDastardly Awesome reaction once again. If you want to really see a young Jinjer, react to "Waltz" with them performing it in the Studio. I think they were in their late teens at that point.
The majority of the "Jinjer" reactors skip over this which is their Loss. I've suggested it to Daz on past Jinjer Vids. It's a mindblowing performance and since your lyric man Tati's words in the whole Macro album and Pit especially is a thing of beauty. This girl will go back and read her old Russian poetry she wrote as a young teenager to pull inspiration to write English lyrics, she's so much more than just a screamer..
It was small, but I appreciate that you joted the unusual message of the lyrics. Musically, Scissors is obviously a teaser compared to what they do now. On the other hand, the straight forward delivery and consistent energy of the song in delivering the message keep it among my top 5 Jinjer songs.
Your critique of how they have progressed over the years I totally agree. I think after they got their new drummer and dropped their old guitarist (which is an awesome guitarist) I think they really have come to find and develop their current style👍
They didn't" Get" Vlad like he was at a yard sale, Dmitry broke his back shortly after recording "King of Everything" and Jinjer was friends with him in the Ukraine metal scene and the rest is history.
This has been my favorite song since I first heard it, I think because it tied Jinjer in with the stuff I was really into at the time. Was similar enough to bands like Archenemy and Lamb of God, maybe with a little bit of Faceless in there to that it made it really hit home that Jinjer was a band that was going to be an all time favorite for me
Very glad you got to this one! One of my favorites off the first album with Tatiana (Inhale, Don't Breathe). I agree, great song, but it shows how much they've developed since (actually, I think I said you would see this in a comment requesting this song lol). I've seen requests for "Outlander"(Cloud Factory) and agree it would be a good next step. Beyond that "Pit of Consciousness"(Macro) is a current favorite. Live is Kiev is actually better than their studio recording, but that being said, check out their official video on your own after. Well worth the time! Again, glad you're back to work and looking forward to your next reaction, whenever you have the time to get another out!
Great input! Thanks! Both of those songs are highly requested, so I'll be getting to them without a doubt! Thanks for being a great viewer and commentor!!
Agree with you totally. The only reason I listen to their old stuff is to see how far they’ve come. Also it helps to see what their vision was and where they were trying to go and that’s fun when you’re a fan. I think as you’re learning their discography I would stick to songs off of Micro the EP and Macro their latest album. Still loving your reactions man.
in 2012 Eugene is still on Bass, Roman is still on Guitar, Tati vocals SO I wouldn't call this a "Different" lineup per se, those 2 guys still composed the music and she the lyrics so yeah!!
Great reaction man. Next you need to check out : Captain clock live at Resurrection fest 2019..or Just another - No hoard of value - both official videos. Thanks. Cheers.
That one always gets my blood pumping!! Work??!! How inconvenient! Why can't we stay at home, watch RUclips and they can just send us the checks? Another sleeper is Jinjer's "Just Another". Nice video, Tati is so cute/
I didn't knew this one. But it was what I expected knowing some other old songs. But this time you didn't check the lyrics! Lol I'm just kidding. With a new job, it is just great you still find time for reaction. And talking about lyrics, I think a lot, probably too much, to comment your last (one take vocal performance). To resume, I have an idea how she works them, but it doesn't fit in a "normal" comment lenght. Continue, you are doing a great job.
I checked the lyrics and talked about them. Not at length because they actually hit me kind of hard for personal reasons. Thanks so much for the kind words! Come by the stream some time and let's chat! I'd love to hear your thoughts on her processes
Hi @@StickDastardly First, sorry to didn’t catch that you had talked about the lyrics in this reaction. English is not my first language and I can miss things here and there. And also, be advised, I write very rarely in English. So if some of my sentences may sound strange, it may just be related to my English level. And now the lyrics First I’m sure you know much more than me about lyrics. You seem to mostly read them, which is not my case. When I discover music by myself, as a teenager, my English was too poor to understand anything and Internet was not there to help. So I was use to first like the music and, time to time, watch the lyrics mostly from the bands I prefer. All to say what I will write is potentially just a pattern you well know, and I am interested to know your thoughts about it. My ideas about her process to write the lyrics are only deductions based on things I grab here and there from some Jinjer's posts. She take the writing seriously and I understand she read on a regular basis and write thought constantly. She is also spontaneous and when asked about different things, she has direct and simple answers. And finally, when I hear RUclips reactors try to catch the lyrics, there are always many hmm, ok, hmmm telling me they figure something, but just parts. Now how I see her process. She definitely writes thoughts, possibly on a computer, or on paper, but she does it as material for the lyrics. So you may figure that if all thoughts have meaning for her, but all together without context may look as chaos. She may select reflections about society, personal memories, personal thoughts, words that brings emotions, etc. And for me the key is her and for personal reasons (her life, preferences, etc.). Now, just to visualized, suppose she use post-it and a fridge to put her thoughts. And now it is time to write the lyrics. She received a first version of the music by the guys and begins her writing process. She turns around the fridge and read here and there, she may be divided the fridge in zones. And she selects some post-it, suppose 15, put them on a table and begin to figure how they can works together and match the music. She may return post-it to the fridge and grab few more. And this exercise produce more thoughts, she may not use the direct words of the post-it, but only use some for inspiration and will use the exacts words for others. At the end of the day, she will have a first version of the lyrics. I think some sentences may be linked together, but others may be completed by themselves, as a collection of thoughts where she see links, meanings or emotions, but some links that have meaning for her or for the purpose of the song (story, emotion, energy). So try to figure “the meaning of the song” is something possible because there are some directions lines and the title is usually a good key, but try to figure the link between all lines may be something else if possible. I don’t know if it has some meaning for you Daz, but I am curious to know your own idea about it.
Great reaction and well said. Hit me the same way when I first heard it. Please Daz, trust me, check out JINJER - Bad Water (Official Live Video) | Napalm Records No growls, and Roman delivers awesome riffs.
