As an Irishman I appreciate the U2 top. The method CV talks about is really kognitiv and neuro psychology which has been around the last 50 years. I apply it in my work dealing with violent and disturbed individuals. It works everytime. But CV explains it so much better than anyone I have ever heard or read. I have read NSTD many times now. Derek Gaunt helped me understand by saying we just repackage what the person said and send it back.🙏
Great interview, thank you for sharing. Chris Voss teaches us to look beyond the superficial. He breaks down complex theories of psychology & explains the concepts in simplified, practical strategies. To be open minded, ask questions, truly listen, reflect & establish bonds. To understand the desired outcome & motivations of parties involved. Also, to be mindful of potential hidden agendas & to avoid misunderstandings. Once we've clearly outlined the objective & implement effective communication skills, it's more likely we'll be able to navigate a successful negotiation.
I've completed Chris's course & my revenues have gone up 700%! Im a professional kidnapper.
Watching 40+ Voss/Black Swan videos and interviews, this is one of my favorites.
Never split the difference is the best personal development book I’ve ever read. Life changing.

Great interview. You don’t rise to the occasion, you fall to your highest level of preparation.

Looking forward to this proof of life upcoming book Voss is working on.
Have you given up on replacing the battery in the smoke detector?
hahahahaha
Smoke detectorrr??
It sounds like that beeping is bothering you.
Why would you need a working smoke detector when you have Chris?
From the thumbnail I though he was teaching kids how to negotiate with their parents lmao
Liars talk and keep talking, while people who are telling the truth get offended because you don’t believe them. Key tip!
The people who are not aligned to your vision are the ones that teach you the most.
Voss Sensei - never knew ya had a tattoo?? Nice.
Hi Jo. Great interview: I like your laid back style. Please can you tell me where I can get the pictures you have in the background. Cheers
Amazing interview Joe, ty as always!!!
2:20 it starts
Audio started bad and ended great. Did Voss say to do that as a negotiation tactic?
Voss and Cialdini are the OGs! I wonder if what Voss's does belongs to the 6 principles of influence by Cialdini?
“Yes” often means “Yes, I understand”. Framing the question the other way around forces them to think.
First principles of communication.
Great stuff! The irony of the last word in this video, though.
28:00 three type of voices
Joe Cool!
I like that t-shirt!
Amazing interview! Can't wait for his new content.
Was that a hint for Reparation?!!!?
