I bought a Roland FR-7x accordion last year as well! I got mine used and it's missing the charging cable so i have to remove the battery which is a pain. I cannot find the 19-pin cable online anywhere. How long have you played for?
The keys are actually quite expensive, and pack a number of features, but they definitely take some getting used to. You absolutely have to customize the settings to make it really playable easily. By the way, Cory Pesaturo, who is a three time accordion world champion whom I have taken several lessons from used this accordion for over 15 years until just earlier this year when the new Korg digital accordion came out, so I promise you it is very legit. :)
As this model is no longer in production, and it's very difficult to find where to buy one, prices vary greatly. However, the Roland FR-8X which is the more modern but heavier version costs $6K, and the new Korg Fisa Suprema costs $8K.

Yeah I love the 7X. I've been playing for around 10 years, and I got the 7X just like 5 months ago. Good luck with finding cable! :)

Your fingers touch the keyboard in a unique way . Doesn’t seem to be orthodox. Just wonder if you can play super fast .
Every accordionist develops a personal style at some point or another. Yes, I can play quite fast on the digital as it is literally built for speed.
