Another thing you can do in Device Manager is delete the current driver, then simply restart your machine!! What a lot of people DO NOT UNDERSTAND, is that Windows since Windows 95 to present keeps a spare copy of its drivers in the System32 file folder! This way if a driver becomes corrupt, at start up Windows will automatically look for the spare copy of it in System32, copy it and replace the driver you just deleted at start up!!! And often third party drivers will also install a copy of their "back up drivers" to this same file folder within the Windows directory itself, for this exact reason! Another thing to add too is as long as the hardware the driver supports is still present, the driver will reinstall itself as normally at start up for the device requiring the driver! I was at work one day and an engineer was complaining that he didn't have a replacement sound card for a computer he was working on to a co-worker of mine! And when I showed that, that the driver was corrupt in this same manner I just said above, the engineer looked at me and asked where I learned that?! The thing is I have never went to college, I don't have a single degree in anything, BUT I have been working with and on computers since I was 15 years old, which was back in 1981!!! And the engineer looked at me stunned when I explained the same thing I just said above as though I was lying to him about it!!! Even though he couldn't explain to anybody else that I "fixed the problem" he was having with the computer!!
I just wanted to mention that if you plug a phone (usually Android) into a PC and it cannot install a driver, go to device manager under USB and browse for a new driver called MTP USB Device. I have done this so many times and it just works!

Thank you Liron, for making these Windows tips easy to understand and follow. I've been watching your channel for about a year, and my laptop runs so much better now!
Great video mate you might want to check the code on the description again it might need a space after "ipconfig" (before the slash) Thankyou hoping im not wrong. Awesome video
Yes, Windows 11 did remove easy access to the task manager with a right click on the task bar. So, after I found it, I pinned it to my task bar. I use it frequently. All the years I've been using a PC, I never knew about the CNTL-SHFT-ESC. Thank you, Also, I knew about the event log(which can be difficult to find what you need), but I never used the Reliability Report. That is awesome. I found that I had a pgm that was crashing on a daily basis and I wasn't aware that it was even running in the background. Something I need to look into.
Everyone always says to go to Task Manager/Startup and disable programs you don't want to run. However, everyone FAILS to mention how you go about deciding which program to stop or delete from the startup. Some are critical to OS operation and others or not, just that the publisher prefers for them in the startup, some we don't know what they do or if we use them at all. So, it would be nice if someone (like a guru) would at the very least explain how they would approach this and what method they would use. Thank you.
discord never worked on startup on my computer, after installing it for the 5th time i discovered a startup process called update that i always disable was responsible for discord
From what I understand, the only drivers that are available for update in the Device Manager are those that are in the Windows Update catalog. There are tons of drivers that are not available in the Windows update catalog. Many OEMs will create their own driver update software to address this shortcoming. Specifically, using that method will not update all drivers on a Dell computer. Dell has a program called Dell Command Update which will update Dell drivers and firmware.
I upgraded my 2009 HP Pavilion to run Windows 11 recently (it came with Vista). Some HP (many) drivers not available in versions that work on Windows 11. Nor on Windows Update. I used an app by IOBit "DriverBooster" worked like a charm 🙂
I have clicked on "up date drivers" hundreds of times and it has NEVER found a new driver and always says " your current driver is up to date". Very helpful video as usual, thanks for helping us.
so what I do is go to the manufacturer site and manually download the driver. I then tell it to update the driver from there. By the way, it could be that your drivers are actually up to date as some drivers get updated with your Windows updates (I stand to be corrected on that but I recall they do just can't find it right now)
Do you keep your computer running 24/7? I ask this because you set the network reset for 1am or am I missing something. Thank you for taking the time to make and share this video. Your channel rocks.
Don't you? I do and I gues a lot of others do too, only a small % of people turn their PC off when they've 'finished with it' and then turn it back on when they want to use it again. This is not wirth doing as when you turn it back on again, theres lots of processes it goes through before you actually get control of it again, such as checking for updates and any program set to run at start will go online to check for updates too. Best to loeave it on all the time.
Great stuff. Only issue I had was that if you have a pre-built pc from Dell, HP,, etc you should use the update tool that is specific for Dell and HP to update your drivers as many times the stock Windows drivers will mess up your pc and it won't work / BSODs due to slight tweaks the mfg does for the hardware to run properly. I always use the mfg update tool first and then I run widows update tool.
Most people don't know about the robocopy command. It's powerful and can be used to copy a folder/drive to anywhere and make an exact copy. In other words, it's not like the regular copy command. It will make an identical copy and delete/rename everything to make an identical copy. It's also extremely fast. Use with caution.
I maintain regular robocopy backups for critical main HD folders on external drives. However, I’ve yet to learn a script for my .bat file that will delete files in the external backup drive which no longer appear on the main drive that I’m backing up. Do you know how to use robocopy to essentially sync the external to the main HD? Or is it really not designed for that?

3:04 A batch file, I used to write those years ago.
same - they were awesome in the DOS days
Please explain the IP configuration batch. Why do this? What does it do?
Thanks, it's a helpful video.
You're welcome!
Many thanks
Great information
Is everything for windows 11 I know you said it was in windows in some tips just making sure Thank you
Wow. Thank you ❤️
I wish you could do a video on how to get back the task manager like you are showing. The new task manager in Windows 11 Beta Insider Build OS 22598.100 is a pain in the you know what. Windows has gone completely crazy making all these changes to things like the Explorer Ribbon, The Right Click Option and the Task Manager, Task Bar and that is just a few.
Please make another video for the other tasks, thanks
Wow! Fantastic stuff here.
Many thanks!
Most awesome. Any thoughts on keyboard shortcuts? CTRL S CTRL Z CTRL V etc?
This is a nifty channel.
Glad you think so 😜🔥
